Any disruption in the normal structure of the disk is causing disk problem. Normally its occurs by the sudden onset due to abnormal sudden pressure on the disk. E.g.- lifting a goods etc. When disruption occurs in the disk , it will gives signs & symptoms like numbness & parasthesia in the limb.
RELIEVING FACTOR
Normally rest reliefe the symptoms.
AGGRAVATING FACTOR
Normally activity aggravate the symptoms.
If it disrupt in a minor level (postural syndrome) it will easily manageable by your self using correct & exercises. But when it disrupt more(dysfunction syndrome) it will well manage by physiotherapy.
When major disruption of the disk(derangement syndrome) occure it will also well manage by physiotherapy doctor.
SELF MANAGEMENT
Actively maintaining the correct posture is the only way to achieve the solution.
Maintaining the correct sitting posture:- three ways 1. Actively by conscious control of the lordosis (without back rest)
2. Passively by the use of lumbar support (with back rest) 3. Sits with buttock against the back of the chair. Maintaining the correct standing posture: Lifting the chest & thoracic spine simultaneously & tilting the pelvis slightly backwards. Maintaining the correct lying posture: Make a roll of a towel & keep at the belt line, by the use of another towel wrap it & join the 2 ends of towel so that it should not moved. Exercises : Lying prone. Lying prone in extension.
Sustained extension. Extension in standing NOTE:- 1. do all exercises prior to take hot fermentation. 2. do any exercises within the limit of pain.
3. if any exercise cause pain stop this particular exercise at a Time & try after some time. 4. do exercises with a positive thoughts in a mind.
SLR (straight leg raise) :- if any symptoms like pin, numbness, paraesthesia in the limb consult physiotherapy doctor.
Check any numbness & paraesthesia in your lower limb, if any consult to physiotherapy doctor.
When any pain radiate to your lower limb upto thigh or leg, consult to physiotherapy doctor.
