ABSTRACT The aim of this project is fish culture automation. It is very difficult to continuously monitor the fish culture pond and feed at regular intervals. Unable to implement the above tasks results in fish premature death or improper growth. The system continuously monitors the fish pond temperature and maintains fixed temperature. If due to hot weather pond temperature rises then a pump is switched on to pump fresh water into the pond. If the temperature falls below threshold then a heater is switched on to rise the water temperature. Use of embedded technology makes this closed loop feedback control system efficient and reliable. Micro controller ATMEGA16 allows dynamic and faster control. The food dispensing mechanism dispenses fixed quantity of feed at predetermined times. Liquid crystal display (LCD) makes the system user-friendly. The sensed temperature level is displayed on the LCD panel. It is very compact using few components and can be implemented for several applications. ATMEGA16 micro controller is the heart of the circuit as it controls all the functions. This project uses regulated and fully assembled power supply. This project is useful in process industries for maintenance and controlling of Boilers temperature.
