Proposition 34

Proposition 34 states that if you vote yes then we will replace the death penalty with life imprisonment without the chance of parole. If you vote no on this prop. then we will keep the death penalty. The death penalty will not cost as much money is my as life imprisonment is my assumption and should not be discarded. The cost of life imprisonment and the health care/housing will cost our taxpayers lots of money. The cost of keeping one of the inmates would be 50,000 dollars a year so imagine a life time who would want to pay money for murders, rapist, and child molesters for their living. The cost of the death penalty is about close to 1.5 million -3.6 million on life imprisonment case. 75,000 dollars for the trial and appeal cost of a L.W.O.P. (life imprisonment without parole).the cost of an inmate goes up because they are aging and will need better services than before.

Like everyone I wouldn't want an innocent person get torched, raped, kidnapped and etc. Abolishing the proposition 34 won't help with any of theses situations. People feel guilty that we possibly murdered innocent people which is false the state wouldn't use this method unless they were positive they were the actual suspects.Using this method won't help with the cost and our economy but neither will keeping the inmates in prison for life. For those who don't know what the prop.. California says people who kill people should be killed. By saying no to the proposition then we can save money instead of paying for their health care/ housing. We are not going to let inmates off that easy especially repeat offenders.

R. Alcala murdered a 12 year old girl named Robin Samsoe who disappeared in June 20, 1979. 12 days later in foothills of los angeles which was decomposing. after investigations they found robins earring in alcala locker he rented. during his trial for robins murder he was sentenced to death but was overthrown by the supreme court because they found out hes had raped and kidnapped before. In 1980 he was convicted and was sentenced to death but was overthrown again because the ninth circuit court overruled and didn't allow it. In 2003 he was arrested again for raping two women and killed innocent people he was sentenced to death for the third time and finally after killing 4 people and raping 2 people he's now dead. So if he was sentenced to death and they went through with it the first trial the 3 people he murdered after would still be alive.

Some of the people that have been giving the death penalty aren't innocent like Alexander Hamilton he has killed over about 225 children, 43 police officers, 235 have been raped and killed and 90 tortured/murdered. This is why we shouldn't get rid of the death penalty people that do these types of things should be held accountable for what they do. Some of the reasons people want to get rid of the death penalty is that they feel that innocent peoples lives were taken which is false. We shouldn't have to tell the victims family members that the suspect has been caught and all they have done to him is give him life imprisonment. Some of the people who have life sentences today say that they would rather get the death penalty than stay in life imprisonment. Your life getting wasted isn't the best so many people can't handle the life imprisonment so they rather just die since they are going to be spending time their. The life imprisonment is harder than death penalty because they see their family suffering and getting upset with them and them not liking this. life imprisonment must be hard but people who deserve more than that thats what the death penalty is all about giving people justice to what they do. Overall say no to proposition 34 don't let inmates, murders, rapist child molester and etc. get away with what they done. SAY NO TO PROPOSITION 34!!!!!
