================================================================================ ================== ================================================================================ ================= BEYOND THE CASE Introduction Ever wondered what would have happened in a case study had you done something di fferent? Sick of the umpteen marketing contests which bombard you with case afte r case? Believe that the true test of marketing is actually selling the product? Here is an event just for you. This event will give you an actual product and make you the decision maker for a ll the Ps and Cs and every other abbreviation you have learnt about. In the fina l round you have to promote the product and also gain an understanding of the co nsumer purchase pattern. Are you ready to do some real marketing? Format Stage 1: This will be an elimination round Each team should choose one of the two cases available here Teams need to send in a proposed solution to the given problem statement in the case Teams have to send a ppt of Max 6 slides (excluding Title and Thank You slides). Max 3 slides of Appendix is allowed apart from the 6 main slides Note: Teams are advised to visit stores selling this product to understand the existin g competition and make observations about marketing and retailing strategies fol lowed by companies for this product category. Teams will be evaluated on depth of insights, quality of analysis and feasibilit y of recommendations. Stage 2: On Campus Each team will be given spaces in a mall based on their bids to set up their sta lls Using that stall they have to design a game to promote the allotted product to t he relevant consumer segments. The game should be used as a tool for disguised research to gain consumer insigh ts about perceptions and buying behavior for consumers of that product The game and stall should be designed to attract maximum people from the relevan t consumer segments. Using the insights gained each team has to prepare an integrated marketing commu nication campaign for the product. Evaluation:

Each team would be judged based on their on-field performance in terms of number of impressions and other metrics for their stall. TERM STRUCTURE "BOND MARKET SIMULATION EVENT AT CONFLUENCE 2012" Register >> Do you think that you have a thorough understanding of bond markets? Do you thin k that you can interpret market information better than other people out there? Do you think that you have it in you to become an ace trader? If answer to any of the above questions is yes then this event is meant for you. Term Structure is a three round event which culminates with a simulation game t o be played by the participants at IIMA campus during Confluence. The competitio n will test your understanding and ability to predict future bond price movement s on the basis of given macroeconomic indicators.
