bring clips around to starting position.
7 . Remove male and female clips and fasten ends
of chain together with screw pin joiner shackles

8. Completed assembly. Before vehicle is moved
at high speeds, check installation after complete
assembly to make sure of clearance between chain
and any part of the vehicle.
CARE OF CHAINS WHEN REMOVED. When re-
moved, chains should be cleaned and dipped in
oil, if available, and then chains must be placed
in vehicle in an orderly manner for future use.
*NOTE-Extreme care must be used by the men
feeding the chain onto the track so that their
hands or feet do not get caught in the chain.
Chain should be applied as tight as possible by
hand. If driving continually, it will be advisable
to check chain occasionally and take up any ex-
cess sla.ck in side chain.
Repairs on all parts of these chains can be made
with additional screw pin joiner shackles.
IMPORTANT: Chains must not be used on track
with lugs to which grousers can be fastened. If
used on tracks with lugs to which grousers may
be fastened, the lugs must be ground off before
installing chain.

of the wheel and place the rod within easy reach
