Answer the questions below.
1 Imagine you have decommissioned an indirect cold-water system in an old domestic property, in preparation for demolition. The indirect system fed a bath, washbasin and WC; the rising main fed the sink and CWSC. Write a short report on how you did the job, including how you liaised with other site workers.

How would you remove a circlip from a spindle? a Use a chisel to prize it off. b Use a small screwdriver to push it out. c Use circlip pliers to open and pull off. d Taps do not have circlips they have SOM clips.

If you have a water hammer problem how can this be solved? a Replace float valve with equilibrium valve. b Replace float valve with Portsmouth pattern valve. c Increase pressure to system by opening stop-tap so it is fully open. d Remove float from arm of float valve. Note: point d would stop the water hammer but it would cause massive flooding of the house so not a recommended option!)
