meeting.

further details refer to the Buku Panduan PLBS section of the main file).

1.3 English teachers were reminded that SBOA assessments should be done according to the yearly plan. If
problems arose, teachers could consult the SBOA coordinator herself or other experienced teachers for clarification. However, as a preliminary action to avoid trivial issues, the SBOA coordinator would be distributing guidelines to all teachers involved by the end of January.

2) SBOA Matters
2.1 2.2 Pn. Jaslinda binti Jaafar had been appointed as the SBOA coordinator of SK Sultan Ismail for 2013. For the particular year, only pupils from year 4 to year 6 would be assessed twice under the SBOA programme. Details are as follows:

YEAR Years 1 3 Years 4 - 5

TIMEFRAME Not involved Twice a year (March Oct) Twice a year (March July)

2.3 2.4

Assessment forms; the Pupils Achievement Record 1 (PAR 1) and Borang Skor Induk (BSI), would be distributed to all teachers by the end of January. In terms of evidence, it was suggested that a set of standardised models be employed in assessing all classes of a single year. These models would be selected and standardised by the SBOA coordinator herself. However, English teachers could improvise the provided questions to suit their pupils ability.

2.5 2.6

The SBOA coordinator informed that teachers could conduct their assessments either formally; or informally such as by eliciting responses from the pupils during the teaching and learning process. In the case where a formal assessment had been conducted during a lesson, teachers were told to write their reflection according to this sample format: Reflection: 5 pupils were assessed for SBOA.

3) Closure 3.1 As there were no other matters being raised, the chairperson thanked everyone for coming and expressed her high hope that the SBOA assessment programme for the year would run successfully.

The meeting was adjourned at 2.20 p.m.
