These World War II era cartoons are from Lustige Bltter, a weekly German humor magazine. The magazine did not carry caricatures, even, friendly ones, of Hitler or other German leaders. There were many caricatures of Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, and Joseph Stalin. These issues, all published during World War II, contain a mixture of overt satirizing enemy countries as well as relatively apolitical jokes and cartoons. There is also a lot of anti-Jewish material.

Background: This page provides two April 1933 articles about how to solve the "Jewish Question," taken from the Nazi Party's theoretical journal. Both propose a "Zionist" solution to the "Jewish Question," though von Leers explicitly rejects a Jewish state in Palestine. Achim Gercke had been a Nazi official before 1933. In April 1933, he was appointed to the Ministry of the Interior, where he served as an expert on racial matters. His article outlined Nazi public thinking on what to do about the Jews at the beginning of the Third Reich, which includes expelling them all from Germany. It notes that the just-issued Nazi laws restricting Jewish laws were provisional measures that indicated the direction future measures would take. Johann von Leers was one of the most prolific Nazi anti-Semites. After the war, fled to Italy and Argentina, eventually ending up in Egypt, where he converted to Islam and remained an active anti-Semitic propagandist until his death in 1965. His article proposes the removal of all Jews from Europe. His article specifically rejects "extermination" as the solution, which, I think, is indicative of the early stages of Nazi rule, when they were still trying to decide what to do about the Jews. Solving the Jewish Question by Dr. Achim Gercke

As a result of the victory of the National Socialist revolution, the Jewish Question has become a problem for those who never before thought about solving the Jewish Question, who never fought to solve it. Everyone has seen that the current situation is intolerable. Allowing free development and equality for the Jews has led to an "unfree" situation of exploited competition, and to a handing over of important positions within the German people to those of a foreign race. The result is that anyone who thinks about this question looks for a solution. Everyone has a proposal on his desk, which gets a more or less favorable reaction in discussions. That was to be expected.

But the solution to so important a problem is not as easy as is often supposed. The legal measures that have just been issued by the government are cleansing actions that adroitly respond to Judah's declaration of war. Primarily, the laws provide a direction in which to move. One should not underestimate the significance of these laws. The entire people will be educated about the Jewish Question, and will come to understand that a people's community is a community of blood. For the first time, they will be reached by racial thinking, and will be focused not on theoretical solutions to the Jewish Question, but rather on a real solution. Nevertheless, these temporary measures cannot be a final solution to the Jewish Question, since the time is not yet ripe, although the laws point out the direction and leave room for any future developments. It would, however, be too early to work out plans for public discussion which propose to do more than can currently be done. Nonetheless, a few principles must be laid out so that the plans one makes can mature, and that mistakes can be avoided. Fundamentally, one must decide whether or not to bring the Jews in Germany (as well as those of Jewish descent) together organizationally. Many plans announced so far propose to bring the Jews together in a federation so that they can be kept under watch, and influenced. All of these proposals are fundamentally in error. Were one to establish a federation of the Jews, whether under some kind of Jewish overseer or in some sort of federation or other innocent-looking structure, the Jews would have an eternal legal anchor in Germany, a way to present their wishes, a tool for their goals, a legal way to secure secret links. And one would give at least the impression that one was dealing with a national minority that could seek, and would find, support outside Germany. One may not give even the superficial appearance of supporting such an attitude toward the Jewish Question, as it would be politically insane to confound domestic German measures on the Jewish Question with foreign policy questions. All proposals that include a permanent presence, a permanent regulation of the Jews in Germany, do not solve the Jewish Question, for they do not eliminate the Jews from Germany (denn sie lsen die Juden nicht von Deutschland). And that is what we want to do. If the Jews are able to exploit their host peoples forever, they will remain a constant source of the open, destructive flame of Bolshevism, making it easy to repeatedly kindle it again, not to mention the political uncertainties resulting from disunity within the people and the danger to racial unity. Let us swear off such thinking forever, whether it results from poor thinking or evil intentions. To summarize, the state can and must focus on systematical elimination, on emigration. If we destroy any organizational cooperation of the Jews and expel the dangerous, subversive Jewish agitators who show any signs of conspiratorial activities, the Jews will

still have the synagogue, the rabbi, to shield them. If we support Zionist plans and attempt an international solution by establishing a homeland for the Jews, we will be able to solve the Jewish Question not only in Germany, but in Europe and the entire world. The entire world has an interest in such a solution, on eliminating this source of disorder, which constantly proceeds from Bolshevism. We must establish that clearly. Perhaps the Jews will be able to become a nation, a people. That would require that Jewish workers, craftsmen, and settlers would develop from the Jewish population. If we regulate this plan, they we will create new foundations for such a settlement. Scattering the Jews to the four winds does not solve the Jewish Question, but rather makes it worse. A systematic program of settlement, therefore, is the best solution. Plans and programs must have a goal pointing to the future. They may not be focused only on a temporarily unpleasant situation. A better future demands the systematic solution of the Jewish Question, not the organization of the Jews. We must build our state without the Jews. They can be only stateless foreigners among us, with no legal permanent standing. Only so will Ahasver [the legendary wandering Jew] be forced to take up his walking stick again, and then turn it into an axes and spades.

The End of Jewish Migration by Dr. Johann von Leers

The Jewish problem is a migrating problem that has moved over the centuries from one European region to another. One can speak of a certain degree of saturation with the Jewish population in individual regions. If this degree of saturation is reached or exceeded, the affected non-Jewish peoples always take the same defensive measures. They attempt to reduce Jewish influence, to hinder Jewish corruption of their cultural and business life, or to reverse it if it has already occurred. Often, the first step is a clear realization that the Jews are a foreign element. Those countries not simultaneously affected by the problem tend to misunderstand these defensive measures, and as far as it is in their political interests, or to the extent that they are under Jewish influence, speak of "barbarism." When the emigrating Jewish masses show up by them, the whole course of events often repeats itself. Similar defensive measures appear in the second country, while in the first country the fighting spirit against the Jews has calmed down and thus the misunderstandings continue. No one who understands the situation will be able to deny that the cause of these defensive measures lies primarily in the Jewish people itself. Even with the greatest degree

of impartiality, one will conclude that one is dealing with a group of people that is on average highly unpleasant. That may not stop one from looking at the question clearly. It is questionable to even speak of a "Jewish people," since there is only a limited and widely varied sense of real consciousness of being a people. There is a continuum ranging from the most convinced Zionists down to assimilated Jews, so that it is better to speak of Jewry as a group of humans in which there is a strong drive to establish a genuine people. Given the extent of Jewish migration, there are two things one must keep in mind. First, it is wrong to see Jewry as an already existing people, and thus treat them as one would treat an ethnic minority. Second, if one is to seriously solve the problem, one must take into account Jewry's inner drive to built its own people. Based on these reasons, mature reflection shows that it is a mistake to take those Jews in a given country and bring them all together in a special federation, regardless of whether they are orthodox, assimilated, or of mixed race, not with the possibility and goal of building a people, but rather to establish a legal minority with rights within a state of a non-Jewish people. The goal is always for Jews to build their own people, and to separate them from a non-Jewish people. Therefore, one must not promote individual Jews as minority citizens, or some such status, within a non-Jewish people, but rather move Jews out to build their own people. From century to century, Europe has always had outbursts of anti-Semitism, and from good and justified desires to defend non-Jewish peoples against an indigestible Jewry. We cannot, therefore, be satisfied with a solution that simply moves the Jews from one country to another over the centuries. This can only strengthen the dangerous Jewish ability to carry on its policies within states, building transnational power. Furthermore, there always remain strong Jewish groups, the result of race mixing and assimilation within the respective peoples, which increase racial decline. Instead, one must find an affirmative solution that frees Europe of wandering Jewish masses. This is not a matter of small numbers, as statistics demonstrate. According to the Zeitschrift fr Demokratie und Statistik der Juden (Berlin), there were around 15 million Jews in the world at the end of 1931. There were 9.8 million in Europe, of whom 3.1 million were in Poland, 3.0 million in Rumania, 0.6 million in Germany, 0.5 million in Hungary, and 0.4 million in Czechoslovakia. Since these figures include only Jews by religious confession, these figures are probably low. Even those numbers, however, include millions of so-called "bums" (Luftmenschen), impoverished peddlers and Eastern European tradesmen, population groups that are ready whenever the borders open to leave their Polish and Lithuanian ghettos and flood into Europe. As long as the pressure from these Jewish millions exists, the Jewish Question in Europe will not be resolved, but rather will necessarily continue. Even if a political movement and a people have had the worst experiences with Jewry, it

could contradict the German Nordic sense of history to see a negative solution as the way to defend against the Jewish masses. Instead, the entirety of our historical mission demands a grand and comprehensive approach that that will also appeal to the opponent. What gives some justification to Zionism's goals is not that they are often either excessively romantic or a peculiar kind of advertising for its thinking (as the old Jewish joke has it: "What is a Zionist? A Jew who wants money from s second Jew so that a third Jew can go to Palestine"), but rather its claim that there is a question with regards to a Jewish people, and that it most be resolved. Zionism assumes that it can build a new Jewish people from the many Jewish individuals. It has, however, some justice in demanding a territorial foundation for its development. Palestine is unable to absorb the coming Jewish masses, since it cannot support them, nor is it the right location. Furthermore, England has to consider both the native Arabic population and the world-wide Islamic community, which makes it impossible to settle even a reasonably significant part of the Jewish masses there. Only a barbarian standing outside of the last great divine manifestation of world history would propose a general anti-Semitic battle aimed at the extermination of this people. The goal of the highly developed peoples is not to promote hatred where there is a decent way to solve the problem. The only imaginable, positive solution that will finally resolve the Jewish problem in Europe, and at the same time provide the real possibility of becoming a people, of becoming rooted to land, and even perhaps allowing its less valuable elements to be influenced by the more valuable elements, is a healthy region outside Europe. The Dutchman von Dinghene, in his book Vollzionismus, has proposed the island of Madagascar, but one could also imagine certain other suitable African or South American regions. On the one hand, such a settlement area must give the Jewish people a space where they can work productively, within the framework of providing space for peoples who now lack space. On the other hand, in those countries where the Jews are being separated from the non-Jewish population, the Jews will lose a large number of jobs. They must today be trained in work groups, receiving education in practical skills and agriculture so that they will be prepared to settle in this area. Those major Western European colonial powers, who are always worked up about the Jewish Question and its effects in Eastern and Central Europe, without however really seeing the connections, would perform a work not only of humanity, but also statesmanlike wisdom that would bring peace to the world and the solution of one of its most serious problems were they to make such a settlement area available. That would not only relieve Europe of the Jewish problem, but also enable Jewry to become a people. Of course, there is a danger that such a Jewish settlement area would become a worldfamous El Dorado of criminality, given the deep moral decay of a large part of Jewry. There

will have to be a force to provide just and honest supervision. This would also be possible, and details could be worked out. The danger may not hinder a broad solution of the Jewish Question by resettling Jewry to an appropriate settlement area outside of Europe. We propose this to the world: Give Ahasver a homeland, as far as possible from us, but sufficient and attractive. If he makes of it a garden, he can keep it, and will be protected. If, however, he makes of it a den of thieves, then one will keep him there. However, we must attempt a decent solution to this question. Those Jews who for centuries have recognized the battle of the Jewish Question are called to contribute to a real solution, those Jews who recognize that the dream of Jewish world domination has failed, and who are therefore ready to become a people among peoples. Those peoples among whom the question burns the hottest because of the Jewish masses among them area also called, particularly the major Western European colonial powers with vast possessions, for it cannot be permitted that a decent solution be prevented by cheap humanitarian slogans. With a single blow, the Jewish question, which has always surfaced, can be resolved.

Background: Hermann Esser was one Hitler's early followers, and second perhaps only to Julius Streicher in crude Jew-baiting. The opening chapter of his 1939 book The Jewish World Plague gives a good example of his style. He finished writing the book in January 1939, two months after the anti-Semitic violence of 9 November 1938. Esser feels no sympathy. He suggests the Jews only got what they deserved. The rest of the book continues along similar lines. This is tough material to translate in a way that conveys the style of the original. 1. Fundamentals of the Jewish Question

The treacherous murder of the young German diplomat Ernst vom Rath in the office of the German embassy in Paris on 7 November 1938 by a 17-year-old Jew named Herschel Grnspan is rightly viewed by the entire German people as a contemptible sneaky attack on

Adolf Hitler's new Greater Germany. Eighty million people were touched in the depth of their being; justified outrage erupted. According to their own figures, the Jews, who had been living very well among the German people for centuries, were worth a total of 8 billion marks. When the Reich government required them to pay a penalty of a billion marks, the Jewish-democratic world press howled as if Jews in National Socialist Germany were starving and going to the dogs. Each German reads with fury what foreign journalists paid by and working for Jewish money write about Germany's domestic affairs. Still, one is surprised that even today one occasionally finds citizens who feel sorry about the money the Jews had to pay, and who in their pubs or family conversations speak about the "poor Jews." These attitudes prove that, despite constant National Socialist education about the Jewish world plague, there remains much to be done, particularly among the "intellectuals." The knowledge of the Jew must be brought to every attic and every corner of Greater Germany, the knowledge that the Jew was a world plague from the beginning, remained so for millennia, and will forever remain one. Each Jew individually, and Jewry as a whole, is without a home. Jewry undermines every people and every state that it infiltrates. It feeds as a parasite and a culture-killing worm in the host people. It grows and grows like weeds in the state, the community and the family and infests the blood of humanity everywhere. In brief, that is the pestilential nature of Jewry, against which every people, every state, every nation must, should and wants to defend itself if it does not want to be the victim of his bloody plague.

Wherever Jewry has appeared, it has never built anything. It has always and everywhere destroyed or torn down, sucking others dry to fill itself. From the days of the Romans to our day, Jewry in every century, in every people, was and remained a foreign body, a destroyer of real and ideal values, a denier of any upward progress, a plague for body and soul. It sneaks in through deceit and treachery, trickery and slyness, murder and assault, understanding how to establish itself. Throughout history the poets and philosophers, the leaders of industry and science, the leading lights of art and culture, statesmen and economists whose blood was not infected by the Jews have warned against the Jew in every century. They proclaimed openly and clearly what he is: the plague. From Tacitus to Schopenauer, from Giordano Bruno to Mommsen and Treitscke, the intellectual heroes of every age have called the Jew the demon of decay, the ferment of decomposition, as the misfortune of the peoples or of humanity. In the New Testament, the Jews were in Christ's words the "sons of the Devil." Jewry is the embodiment of materialism, the epitome of sensuality, of greed, of dishonesty, of selfishness, of heartlessness and the lust for power. Over the centuries, Jewry has infiltrated every nation and every people, committing with crime after crime. Today it is on top, tomorrow at the bottom, without honor or a sense of honor. It has but one thing: a greedy lust for possession and power, for fame, for suppressing and enslaving the surrounding world. The cultured peoples, both today and in the past, create and build, proving their worth as the creators and advancers of culture. Jewry was and remains only the corrupter and destroyer of culture. Everything healthy and great is rooted only in the national. The foundation of a state and the fundamentals of a culture can only be national. Jewry can never be great, can never create culture, for it is not a people, but rather only a corrupt mixture of inferior desert tribes with no national life or longing, with no proud and famous past. Jewry has always lived from day to day, not from labor but amassing earthy treasures as its first goal. Even Abraham, Isaac and Jacob received this revelation upon leaving Egypt: "I shall lead you to the land of your fathers and give you large and beautiful cities that you did not build, and houses full of things that you did not gather, and fallen trees that you did not cut, vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant, and you will eat and be satisfied (Deuteronomy 6:10ff.) Just as the Jews conquered their "Promised" Land, so it has been with the Jews over the years down to this very day. They come as "foreigners," as "beggars," slinking and groveling, with false humility and dishonest respect. Once they have swindled their way to something, they become thieves and bloodsuckers, either openly or in secret. They turn into thieving and murderous Bolshevist hordes for their host peoples. That happens everywhere.

Jewry has shown itself to be the thief of the material possessions of the host peoples, as a destroyer of culture and as a parasite everywhere and in every way from the dim past through the present day. The double face of Judah grins through the millennia. The Jew bewitches and exploits the gullible, the ignorant, the trusting. He reserves for himself all the advantages of Mammon and capitalism, wealth and treasures, all the joys and pleasures of life. Yet for 3,000 years the Jew has complained about oppression and persecution, about hatred and prejudice against him. But the Jewry has gathered and swindled the world's money. The Jews are so oppressed and enslaved that around 17 million of them have gathered about 200 billion marks. One can hardly speak and write about "poor" Jews. The history of every age and nation proves, page by page and chapter by chapter, that Jewry always and everywhere has been a homeless racial mish-mash, a world plague. It has remained a world plague to this day and will remain a world plague for all eternity. That is its "chosenness" from all the peoples of the earth, a "chosenness" of destructive pestilence for the world and for mankind.

Background: This is a translation of part of a widely distributed summary of Nazi doctrine about the Jews. The original version was published in 1938 by Rudolf Kommo. This is the revised version of 1942, taking account of the war. It was not put out by the Nazi Party, but was approved by it for use in party education. The pamphlet proposes deporting the Jews to someplace like Madagascar, though by 1942 the real Nazi intentions were more deadly. Summary: The pamphlet runs 32 pages. The first sections cover Jewish history from ancient to modern times, and end with the claim that Germany, the Soviet Union and

the United States were the three centers of the Jews. I take up the translation with the last three sections. ***** Jewish World Policies Jewish World Leadership We have discussed the centers of world Jewish power. The unified plan is clear. That leads necessarily to the question: Is there some form of world-wide Jewish leadership that carries out this plan? There are a series of familiar international Jewish organizations: the Alliance Isralite Universelle, the Independent Order of B'nai Briss , the various Zionist agencies (e.g., the Jewish Agency), the international Jewish boycott organizations against Germany, the American Jewish Joint Consultative Council to name only a few. All of these organizations promote Jewish world power policies in some way. How they relate to each other, which are the most significant, and whether there are secret connections and a central leadership, and where that leadership might be, are subordinate questions. Whether or not there is an organized Jewish government recognized by all the Jews is less important that the fact that there is a unified and conscious Jewish desire for world power. This is proved by a variety of political events that are taking place in plain sight today. What Does World Jewry Want Today? We have already discussed the fundamental aims of World Jewry. Their present activities are determined by the tactical situation. What does the situation look like today? Under the leadership of National Socialism, the German people have eliminated one of Jewry's three pillars. In many other countries, people are also beginning to wake up and see through the Jewish plans for domination. Jewry is therefore doing all in its power to defeat these awakening nations and to force them to give up their new racially-oriented policies. World Jewry is more united today than ever before. They build hate against the awakening peoples with all the resources at their disposal. They depend most heavily, as we have shown, on world Bolshevism and world democracy. With ice-cold, devilish calculation, they unleashed a new world war that they hoped would defeat the national-authoritarian nations. After defeating these nations, the way would once again be open to establish Jewish domination of the remaining nations. The insane goal of World Jewry remains ruling all the nations by controlling their government organs, their territory, their money and all their goods. We know that they will not achieve their goal. Jewry will not defeat the awakening nations, rather the example of these nations will

finally awaken the people who still sleep under "democratic" or Bolshevist rule. That will be the time to finally solve the Jewish question. As Reichsleiter Alfred Rosenberg said in his speech on the Jewish question to diplomats and the world press on 7 February 1939, this can only occur by removing the Jews from all the nations where they have lived as parasites and transporting to them to a sufficiently large, uninhabited area suitable for colonization. How little Jewry has understood the gravity of its situation, threatened by the racial awakening of the nations, is shown by its reaction to the emigration question. Jewry wants Palestine. In order to make it possible for the Jews of every nation to move to one place? Not at all. Such a thing is impossible. Palestine could hold only a small percentage of the Jews. The 400,000 Jews who currently live there live in the midst of 900,000 Arabs (with more than 30 million Arabs in surrounding countries!). Even if in violation of all principles of justice the Palestinian Arabs now living there were forced out to make room for the Jews, it would be impossible for a significant part of the world's Jews to move there. As Alfred Rosenberg pointed out in his speech, Jewry is promoting the Palestine project for entirely different reasons. It wants to establish a center of power that will provide Jews remaining in those other countries a valuable legal and governmental base. A relatively small, purely Jewish state in Palestine would provide the powerful Jewish groups in other nations with the status of a respectable minority, the right of asylum, diplomatic representation, and similar benefits. It is not a satisfactory solution to the Jewish question, since it leaves the Jews to continue their parasitic existence among the other nations, and indeed gives them new advantages. The Jews have no serious intention of establishing colonies. That would not be difficult for a people of 17 million, or perhaps twice that number if one includes all who are racially Jewish. They have vast resources, and have already made major strides toward their goal of dominating the nations. It would not be difficult for them to secure a suitable territory. That would be a worthy goal for world Jewish capital. But the rich and powerful Jews of the Bolshevist clique of despots, or in the huge trusts in the USA or the international banks in England and many other countries feel too comfortable to undertake such a difficult, "uneconomic" endeavor. It hardly seems necessary to go to the trouble of bringing all Jews together in one place. Developments will force them in that direction, however. One day there will be only one escape, a single honest way to solve the Jewish question. Then for the first time in 3,000 years, the Jew will have his own land where, in the words of his own story of creation, he can live "by the sweat of his brow," even if he had previously thought that to be a disgrace. There is enough room on the earth for the Jews. A number of possibilities have already

been mentioned: Kenya in the British Empire is two and a half times the size of England, and only 18,000 whites, some Indians and Arabs, and 3.1 million blacks live there. Rhodesia is three times as large as England, but only 10,000 Europeans and one and a half million Blacks live there. British Guyana is a large and fruitful land of the size of Yugoslavia. It is still almost entirely unsettled. Large parts of Australia are still uninhabited. French Madagascar is another possibility, and there are others as well. Without going into all the details, it is clear that the question of finding a suitable place for the Jews depends only on their own desire and that of their protectors. That desire is lacking. The future of World Jewry depends on its bowing one day to the pressures of the situation. The Decisive Battle has Begun! Our goal is not to predict the future. We see things as they have developed so far, and evaluate the forces currently in motion. These forces, however, already exclude some "solutions" to the Jewish question. There is no longer any hope of stopping the awakening of the nations or of defeating the authoritarian states. If International Finance Jewry within and outside of Europe succeeds in plunging the nations once again into a world war, the result will not be the Bolshevization of the world and the victory of Jewry, rather the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe! The Fhrer gave the Jews a clear warning in these words on 30 June 1939. International Jewry has succeeded in plunging humanity into a new world war, but the results of the vast battle so far have made it clear that the Jewish string pullers have miscalculated this time. Jewish dominance of Europe has been broken and will never return. Jewish world policies in the old manner are no longer acceptable to the rest of the world. They must fail. The result of the current vast struggle will not be the establishment of Jewish control of the world, rather a just new order in which all constructive nations will cooperate.

Jewish Danger Be Over? by Ernst Hiemer

Anti-Semitism is as old as Jewry itself. The Jew was a liar, a swindler, an exploiter, a troublemaker, a poisoner of the blood and a murderer from the beginning. The non-Jewish peoples thus responded to this people of criminals throughout history with contempt and rejection. Over the centuries, repeated attempts were made to eliminate the Jewish danger. Under the assumption that the Jewish question was a religious matter, one attempted to render Jews harmless by forcing them to be baptized. It did not take long for people to realize that this was an entirely false solution. The conversion of Jews to Christianity was only on the surface. The Jews became "Christian" only to carry on as Jews. Another way to solve the Jewish question was for the numerically superior non-Jewish population to absorb the Jewish minority. People believed that close contact between the Jews and the host peoples would, through equality, intermarriage and the mixing of blood, gradually "water down" the Jewish race and lead to its disappearance. The results of this mistake were catastrophic. The Jewish race was not "watered down"and rendered harmless, but rather the opposite: the blood of the non-Jewish peoples was poisoned in a grave way. Experience showed non-Jewish peoples that incorporating the foreign Jewish element into their community not only did no good, but caused positive harm. Gradually people realized that there was only one effective method of dealing with Jewry: consistent separation from their own racial body. Even during the Middle Ages numerous governments required Jews to distinguish themselves from their non-Jewish host peoples by wearing special clothing such as pointed Jewish hats, yellow symbols, rings, etc. As well-intentioned as these measures were, they had only limited success. Sometimes the Jews wore these symbols with pride. They were pleased that the "stupid Goy" themselves saw to it that only the "chosen people" wore such outward symbols. But other Jews whose business interests were not advanced by making the fact that they were Jews plain continued to go about the country as "non-Jews." Another way of separating the Jews from the non-Jewish peoples was to force them to live in certain areas. The Jewish quarter became known as the "ghetto." But this method also failed to achieve its goal. Some Jews welcomed the creation of the ghetto. Once again they had their "community abroad!" In the ghetto, Jewry's secret plans were forged! In the ghetto the Jews had their "staff." Those Jews who carried on their mischief among the non-Jews received their commands from the ghetto. The Jewish danger

was greater than ever before. Realizing that separating the Jews into their own quarter was not sufficient led various peoples to go still further. They expelled the Jews from their countries. This for the first time aroused the Jews. Now they saw a real danger! Now they had to act before it was too late! Jewry is thousands of years old. Thanks to its devilish cleverness, it has often found a way out of nearly hopeless situations. Here too! The Jews let themselves be expelled without much fuss. They gathered on the other side of the border and waited and waited and waited. They waited for years and decades. They waited for the moment in which the knowledge of the Jewish danger gradually disappeared from people's minds. Then the Jews came back. Then they laid waste to the land more terribly than before. Today Europe is ready to solve the Jewish question once and for all. It is thus good to learn from past mistakes and remember what history teaches. And what does history teach us? It teaches: The Jewish question is not only a German matter! It is also not only a European problem! The Jewish question is a world question! Just as Germany is not safe from the Jews as long as even one Jew remains in Europe, so Europe cannot solve the Jewish question as long as Jews live in the rest of the world. Jewry is organized world criminality. The Jewish danger will be eliminated only when Jewry thoughout the world has ceased to exist.

Introduction by Julius Streicher The National Socialist state has brought about fundamental changes in every area of the life of the German people. It has also given the German teacher new tasks. The National Socialist state demands that teachers teach German children about the racial question. For the German people, the racial question is the Jewish question. He who wishes to teach the children about the Jews must himself become an expert. Teacher Fritz Fink wants to help the German teacher to understanding and knowledge with his pamphlet The Jewish Question in Education. He can and may do this because fate has called him to a battle that let him gain knowledge about Jewish blood and its effects on the German people. He who takes to heart what Fritz Fink has written from his heart, which has cared for many years about his people, will be thankful to the author of this outwardly small pamphlet. Introduction The racial and Jewish Question is the central problem of the National Socialist worldview. Solving this problem will ensure the survival of National Socialism and thereby the survival of our people for all time. The enormous significance of the Jewish Question is recognized today by nearly every member of the German people. This knowledge cost our people a long period of misery. To spare coming generations this misery, we want German teachers to plant the knowledge of the Jew deep in the hearts of our youth from their childhood on. No one among our people should or may grow up without learning the true depravity and danger of the Jew. That requires that the German teacher himself master the racial and Jewish Question. Valuable work is done in educational camps and in the groups of the National Socialist Teachers' Federation. Experience shows, however, that many teachers are not able to present and explain their knowledge of the racial and Jewish Question in a way that profits our youth for their whole lives. He who devotes an hour a week in his school to the racial and Jewish Question, making it into something of an independent subject, approaches it in an unnatural way. The knowledge of the racial and Jewish Question must grow organically from the whole curriculum of our schools. Racial science and the Jewish question must run like a red thread through education at every level. There is no subject in our schools from which valuable knowledge of the Jewish Question cannot be drawn in unexpected fullness. This small pamphlet, The Jewish Question in Education, will explore several of these opportunities. It does not pretend to be a pedagogic text in the usual sense. It contains none of the familiar sample class sessions which have ruined the style and instincts of some teachers. The pamphlet The Jewish Question in Education wants to show German teachers simple ways in which the Jewish Question can be incorporated naturally into the curriculum. He who has mastered the highway will himself discover a thousand side streets and find new ways himself. The German Child and the Jew

He who addresses the theme "The Jewish Question in Education" is immediately asked: "How do I get this problem across to children?" Another objects: "Is a child even interested in the question?" The expert teacher asks: "Does a child even have the necessary capacity to understand?" Even the most conscientious teacher can be assured that a child has everything necessary: the interest, the ability to understand. In an age when adults did not see or recognize the Jew, the child saw him as foreign. When the Jewish cattle dealer stepped onto the farm, the farmer's children ran inside and hid behind the mother's skirt. Their uncorrupted racial instincts smelled he of the foreign race, who brings danger and misery. Adults had lost this healthy racial instinct. They had forgotten how to see racially. They no longer saw he who was different. In working class districts of Nuremberg after the war, children followed Jews shouting: "Jew, Jew, hepp, hepp, hepp!" The fathers and mothers of these children were members of parties of which more than half of the leadership were Jews. A dislike of the Jews is innate in uncorrupted German youth. Today the child encounters the name Jew everywhere: in the newspapers, in conversations, in the songs of the S.A. and the HJ [Hitler Youth]. The disgust with which they hear this name steadily increases, as does their dislike when they meet a representative of the Jewish race. However young he may be, a child asks himself the reasons for this dislike and disgust and wants an explanation from his teacher. That provides the foundation for successful education. But some teachers still lack the courage to address the Jewish question with enthusiasm. Nervously and shyly they avoid it. To be prepared for inspections, they briefly touch on the Jewish Question now and again. These are the teachers who have in their bones the ideas the Jews propagate of "objectivity, decency and humanity." These are the teachers who at the behest of the churches display pity and brotherly love to the deadly enemy, even when they sense and see that their own people is being destroyed by this deadly enemy. They are the weaklings, the cowards, those German teachers ruined by foreign powers. They avoid the Jewish question in education but rather than meeting the desire of the child for education and at the same time fulfilling one of their most important tasks. The question remains: "How do I get the Jewish Question across to a child in education?" The more naturally and directly this happens, the more lasting the effect. The best subject for doing this naturally and easily is science. We see in nature that only similar creatures live together. Similar insects like ants, wasps, bees, termites, etc., build their states. When migratory birds leave for the south in the fall, starlings fly with starlings, storks with storks, swallows with swallows. Although they are all birds, each holds strictly to its kind. A herd of chamois is never led by a deer or a herd of wild horses by a wild boar. Each kind sticks with its own, and seeks a leader of the same species. That is the way of nature. When these facts are explained in school, the time has to come when a boy or a girl stands up and says: "If that is the way it is in nature, it has to be the same with people. But our German people once allowed itself to be led by those of foreign race, the Jews." To older students, one can explain that a male starling mates only with a female starling. They build a nest, lay eggs, care for the chicks. Young starlings come from that nest. Like is drawn to like, and produces its own kind.

That is the way nature is! Only where humanity intervenes do artificial cross-breeds result, the mixed race, the bastard. People cross a horse and a donkey to produce a mule. The mule is an example of a bastard. Nature does not want it to reproduce. It denies the mule offspring. Only man sets himself over the will of nature. He approves and even demands the mixture of blacks or Orientals with white people, or Jews with non-Jews. Each valued member of a race is racially conscious. No White who is aware of and proud of his race will mate with a Negress or a Jewess; even a racially conscious Negro will not mate with a White. Each prefers its own kind. Only an inferior member of a race inclines toward those of other races, or allows himself to be misused by them. Only inferior members of various races mix with each other, the bad mixes with the bad. It is thus clear that the bastard always gets the worst of it, that is, he unites only the bad characteristics of the races he comes from. A teacher who presents his students with such ideas will have an easy time in explaining the meaning of the Nuremberg Laws to the youth. The children will see in the Nuremberg Laws nothing other than a return to the natural, to the divine order. There are countless examples in the sciences that provide wonderful and easy ways to discuss the racial and Jewish Question. Here we will provide only one other example. The Munich scientist Dr. Escherich has studied the wonderful structures and colonies of termites. He summarizes his conclusions in this way: The queen is at the center of the great pyramid of earth that the termites build. She alone lays eggs and ensures offspring. Termite workers care for her, cleaning and feeding her. Other small workers clean the passageways and carry food through the streets of the wonderful city. Larger ones with sharp pinchers, the soldiers of the termite state, provide order. They are the guardians, the defenders of the structure. As long as life in the mound follows this order and division of labor, the termite race prospers, grows and lives. One day foreign insects came to the termite mound. They tried to enter. Where good termite soldiers stood, there was a battle and the foreigners were driven away. But there were also places where guards had forgotten their duty. They mixed with the foreigners. They sipped an apparently tasty liquid that the foreigners exuded from their bodies. They became brothers with the foreign insects that had come to their mound. They let the foreigners pass and enter the termite state. The termites inside took no offense at the foreign guests. They thought that if their "guard" had admitted them, they could not be enemies. Ever more guests came. One day there was great excitement in the termite mound. There was a terrible battle in every corner. The foreigners had murdered the queen. There was revolution in the termite state. Everyone murdered everyone else in a gruesome manner. A few days later the mound was dead. Everything living had been destroyed. Students who hear the teacher tell of this amazing natural event will think deeply for a while. It would be surprising if a student then did not stand up and say: "That is the way it was with our people, in our country. The foreigners who came to us and gained entry were the Jews. At

first there were a few, then more and more. After the war they came in swarms from the east. When they felt strong enough, they led a revolution. They hunted our people's leaders. There was murder everywhere. There was no order. The Jew became lord of the country and the state." The teacher will help them along by expanding on the subject: Yes, children, that is how it was. It was not long ago. The "leaders" of our people let the Jews in because they thought they could not get along without the financial and court Jews. The Jew earned the favor of the rulers by bribery. He took over one post after another in the government. He infiltrated everywhere, everywhere he had his paid lackeys. He even got so far as to win the favor of the Kaiser. When the Jew felt strong enough, he struck. Revolution came to the country. Law and order disappeared. The people's leaders were persecuted. In Russia the Jew murdered them. Brother raised his hand against brother. In Germany everyone hated everyone else. Things grew silent in Germany, silent on the farms and in the factories. Poverty, hunger, misery were everywhere. We were collapsing. They Jew was lord over us." Such a lesson will help the children understand why the Nuremberg Laws redefined citizenship and excluded the Jews from any influence in political and governmental life. The children must learn that the laws directed against the Jews and the struggle against him is not the result of an arbitrary whim, but an action necessary to defend our people. [pp. 3-12]

Racial Defilement I have not yet discussed the most important and dreadful side of the Jewish Question. It especially concerns those teachers in the vocational and upper-level schools who care for our female youth. It also demands steady attention and deepening from the BDM [League of German Girls], the German Labor Front, and all the organizations outside the schools that work with our female youth. All of us, parents and teachers bear the guilt that countless of our girls and women have been ruined by the Jews. We may not and do not want to judge them. Neither parents, teachers nor clergy educated or warned them. No one introduced them to the god-given secrets and laws of blood and race. They were fed all sorts of things in school and church. Yet no one gave them the deepest knowledge that would have protected them from physical and spiritual destruction. Thus the poison of Jewish blood entered our people's bloodstream thousands upon thousands of times. Many decades will pass before our people eliminates it. No German teacher today can avoid the problem of "The Jew and the German woman." It would be criminal neglect. Why should we from stupid sinful embarrassment conceal from our more mature girls in school what they can learn five

minutes later in all its brutality on the street, in shops, or in offices, or what will perhaps be revealed to them the same evening in the most awful way by a criminal Jew? The new approach to education has the goal to lead our female youth to motherhood, to womanhood. Mother and child, with all their related questions, are now more the center of education. Thank god, eugenics and a concern with healthy offspring has also entered our schoolrooms. It is easy to build the bridge from them to the Jewish Question. The Nuremberg Laws also provide a starting point. They forbid Jews to have female servants under 45 years of age. The forbid marriage between Jews and Germans. They provide lengthy prison terms for sexual relations between Jews and Germans, even if it does not lead to motherhood. Why is this? We recall the knowledge gained earlier in the sciences. We extend it. We learn from the animal breeder. We study the ancestors of his animals. He tells us that he breeds only pairs of the same race. Only that ensures that the valuable characteristics of the various races remain intact and improve. Each animal breeder can affirm that crossing the races always results in a bastard, and that such a degenerate animal is worthless. That is clear from thousands of examples. We then turn to people. Why should they be exempt from these laws? We use pictures as an aid: pictures of children of German-blooded parents, pictures of Jewish children, both of whose parents are full-blooded Jews, and pictures of children who are a mixture of Jew and German. We make the comparisons. We are most interested in the last group of children, those of mixed race. We look to see from which race most of the characteristics come. We see the Jew in his face, his body, his appearance and manner, his thinking, feeling and behavior. We do not need to investigate deeply. Everything about him speaks of the Jew, of discord, of degenerate blood. The person of mixed race is a lamentable creature, tossed back and forth by the blood of his two races. We establish that the bastard is a burden to a people. He weakens it. His offspring carry on the racial degeneration. I urge each teacher to encourage the reading of Dr. Dinter's book The Sin Against the Blood. It speaks in a stronger way to our more mature girls than the lovely sweet stuff that one still finds here and there. In schools where girls are trained to be teachers, I think that introducing the racial and Jewish Question in this way is the most important task. I know from experience how helpless, inexperienced and ignorant some young female teachers are about this problem. The sin against the blood passes its curse not only to the mixed race offspring, but rather the curse also sticks to the defiled mother, never leaving her for the rest of her life. Racial defilement is racial death. Racial defilement is bloodless murder. A woman defiled by the Jew can never rid her body of the foreign poison she has absorbed. She is lost to her people. What we have learned from animal breeders is just as true here. Our ancestors knew this. We forgot it. Only one guarded it through the millennia as a valuable treasure: the Jew! Once again we review the familiar history of the Jewish people. At a time during the

Babylonian Captivity when the Jews took non-Jewish wives and Jewish blood threatened to decay and decline, Ezra entered the scene. The savior of the Jews. He gave the people that law of blood to which Jewry today owes its existence. He forbade marriage with nonJewesses. He forced the Jews to drive their non-Jewish wives into the wilderness. Ezra's laws are holy to the Jews to this day. The Jew thus recognizes the significance of keeping blood pure. But he persuades other people of the opposite. He preaches racial mixing to other peoples, bastardization. "Why does he do this?" the girls will ask. Because he sees in racial mixing the surest way to break the life force of the nations, to drive them into the depth of destruction. His goal is to contribute to this process of bastardization wherever he is able. The defilement and deracing of non-Jewish women by the Jews is not the result of a blood-driven Jewish sexual drive. It is far more the result of devilish planning and calculation. This gives us once again the opportunity to speak to our female youth of the Talmud and to discover that the Talmud not only permits the defilement of non-Jewish women, it makes it a duty. Once again we encounter the great Jewish hatred, the great Jewish desire for annihilation, when we read what the Talmud says about non-Jewish women: "The Jew may misuse non-Jewish women.' (Maimonides: Jab chasaka 2,2.) "All non-Jewish women are whores." (Eben haezar 6,8.) "A non-Jewish girl who is three years and a day old may be defiled." (Abodah sarah 37a.) "A man (Jew) may do everything with a woman that he is able to do. He may treat her like a piece of meat that comes from the butcher. He may eat it raw, grilled, cooked or smoked." (Talmud: Nedarine 20b.) "It is forbidden for Jews to commit adultery with the wife of a Jew. Adultery with the wife of a non-Jew is permitted." (Talmud Sanhedrin 52b.) A teacher who has not slept through the past few years will find it easy to give his girls insight into the terrible destructive work the Jew has done to German women. He will speak of the tragedies that have occurred in Jewish homes, offices, department stores, in the offices of Jewish doctors and attorneys. He who has heard nothing of this may read the Strmer and follow the battle it wages against Jewish racial defilers. Things had gone so far that the Jew Kurt Mnzer could say: "We have ruined the blood of all the races of Europe, defiled them, broken their strength, made everything tired, lazy and rotten with our corrupt culture." (The Way to Zion, a novel of 1910). And the Jewess Anselma Heine boasted: Suddenly I saw in him the typical ancient train of suffering of his race. It was his pleasure to

have power over women, and nothing gave him greater joy than to boast of the brutal force with which he ruled his women of the blond nobility." (Anselma Heine on the poet Ludwig Jakobowski, "Lit. Echo", Issue 3, 1912). Girls educated in such a way will never become victims of the Jew. They are safe from the devils of this world. They will slap the Jewish seducer in the face if he dares to approach them. Now they understand the Nuremberg Laws. Their hearts are filled with passionate thanks that the National Socialist movement protects the German woman from shame and defilement. They will pass on to their children what we have given them. Thus the blessings of our labors will endure in the coming generations. [pp. 41-46]

How They Lie Must the politician lie? Each one of us asks this question when we hear the lies and horror stories that Germany's enemies spread throughout the world through the press or radio. Obviously a politician cannot wear his heart on his sleeve when he is working for the success of his country. Only hypocrites and innocent dreamers would demand that he speak openly about his plans. Just as a businessman does not divulge his secrets to his rival, so also in politics, with even greater justification, much must remain a secret. But there is an immense difference between discretion in business and the rude slander of rivals in one's private life. For example, what would you say if a colleague of yours, whom you regarded as a rival and who disliked you, were to spread the rumor that your household is in disorder, that you murder small children and rape defenseless women? Rest assured that in our country such a person would soon be behind bars. But the international politicians and journalists who slander entire peoples in a shameless manner not only run around freely, they impudently put on airs as the saviors of human culture. No lie is too crude for them, no slander too vulgar they understand their craft. Even in World War I they knew how to incite hate with the help of atrocity propaganda. We all recall those daily lies of the "German barbarian" who, "like

a wild beast rages over the earth and destroys everything in hate and the fury of annihilation, who tortures children and delights in the tears of mothers," as a foreign paper once wrote. In war, man stands against man. Each serves the fatherland in his own way, and no soldier will deny the knightly convictions of a noble opponent. Today, however, a cowardly gang of professional agitators daily invents new lies and pictures from the safety of their desks.

When coming generations look back on the period of struggle and development of the National Socialist movement, one of the most interesting and significant conclusions they will draw is that seldom in the history of the German people, indeed that of humanity itself, did the spoken word, that direct personal contact between the leader of a young and rising movement and the whole people, have such importance as in this significant period in the history of the German people. It is very remarkable that although Adolf Hitler used the most modern achievements of

science and technology for his struggle, he always viewed them only as instruments, never making compromises with technology that contradicted his knowledge. He was never tempted to devote himself to them, to become subordinate to them! We must remind ourselves that the printing press released a flood of printed words, and that the spoken word seemed a relic of the Middle Ages over against the strength and force of technology that brought the printed word to the masses of the people. A dreadful collapse of the rhetorical art followed. National Socialism in no way rejected the possibilities that modern technology provided in the area of printing, but it also recognized the importance of the spoken word as the messenger of a movement that came out of the feelings and experiences of the people. It used the spoken word in a way unparalleled in the past, and that will remain exemplary in the future. To endure in the age of the printed word, the help of technology was needed. The loudspeaker, the radio, the motor vehicle, and the airplane provided opportunities to reach a broader circle than ever before with the spoken word. If we ask why Adolf Hitler put such great significance on the spoken word, we must conclude that the written word in no way equals the spoken word in intensity and impact. But one does not rule out the other. They supplement rather than replace each other. The problem here is the same one that we encounter in the arts. Why do people go to the theater when there are movies, which are cheaper and less complicated, and which use the most modern technical methods? Why do people attend concerts when they could listen to the radio or turn on the record player in their homes, and hear the same thing? Why do people take on the challenges, the costs and the economic burdens of travel, when they can see splendid films with precise details about every part of the world? All of these instances prove that even the most modern and perfect reproductions of music, words, or pictures can never replace personal experience. The feeling we have when walking through the streets of a foreign city cannot be conveyed by the most perfect picture, the best travel description. A reproduction, however perfect, will never have the same effect as the actual work of art. Personal experience is always primary, reproduction in whatever form is secondary. It is most effective when presented to a person who has directly experienced what is shown, who is then reminded of what he once experienced. Memory and imagination must be combined with secondary art forms in order to come close to communicating the primary experience of art! He who hears an opera on the radio, but has never seen it on stage, will get only an imperfect impression, whereas he who has experienced the work will be reminded of the

whole magic of the direct experience of the work of art. He who reads a speech by the Fhrer but has never heard him speak will have a different and incomplete impression compared to him who has often heard the Fhrer. While he reads, his own imagination is active and he hears the words that he reads in his mental ear. We see then that every indirect presentation is somehow incomplete if the memory of previous experience does not help our imaginations to unite our past experiences with the secondary form of reproduction. The printed word is abstract. It is impersonal. It is not rooted in memory, but slides away. We connect the spoken word with thoughts of the person who spoke it, with his appearance, the sound of his voice, the persuasiveness and passion with which he spoke the words. And then there is the environment. Reading is usually done alone. Speaking is communal; many hundreds or thousands share the enthusiasm. All of this allows the spoken word to pass from the level of simple understanding to the depths of our feelings and drives! Science records its knowledge in books. Confessions of faith have always favored the spoken over the printed word. National Socialism proves this through the significance that the spoken word had in its struggle. From the beginning, it fought on the spiritual level and it spoke rather than wrote its words because it wanted to reach people's hearts, because it wanted to win! We can distinguish four various forms of speaking: 1. The meeting 2. The mass meeting 3. The ceremony 4. The talk 5. The lecture A meeting is a gathering of a number of people who have come together to be instructed by a speaker about a certain topic. It is usually not particularly formal. Meetings generally are held in rooms in restaurants, and drinks are served during the talk. This is the simplest form of bringing one person's thoughts and opinions to a larger audience. A mass meeting is a step up from a meeting. It usually includes a larger number of listeners, music, flags, etc., which contribute to the atmosphere. Where possible, one will avoid tables in a mass meeting. Rather, one prefers halls that can be decorated to

elevate the mood and, since there are only chairs, it is easier for the audience to concentrate on the speaker. The highest level is in ceremonial gatherings. Here there is an artistically unified program with music, the entrance and exit of flags, and in the center of it all, a speech. The individual parts join to form a whole. This developed from the ceremonies that National Socialism created in its meetings during the struggle for power, and that have now been adopted in mass meetings and ceremonies. During the years of struggle, there was great joy in battle and an enthusiasm that did not look to the surroundings, but rather from overflowing hearts and sacrificial devotion created a devotion that made each meeting an experience, despite the modest surroundings and primitive conditions. Now that we possess power, we need exterior decorations and finery to bring alive the feelings of those days once more. The opposite of this form of rhetoric is the talk and the lecture. A mass meeting intends to be an experience, whereas the talk transmits knowledge, directing itself to the mind of the hearer. It wants to teach, to say something new, to educate. Its purposes are in the realm of the understanding. The meeting is different in every regard. The attendee of a mass meeting would be disappointed by a scientific lecture, no matter how elevated and educational, because he came to the meeting with other expectations. Being taught goes against his wish to be motivated, to be swept along. We see here two kinds of speaking: the talk, which above all aims at the mind, and the meeting speech, which reaches the heart. In the talk what one says is primary, whereas in the speech it is above all a matter of how one says it. The audience of a meeting or mass meeting does not want to be taught (at least not in an obvious way), but rather motivated. Our language proves it. We say that listeners were "captivated" by a speaker, that the speaker "held them in his spell," that his "gripping" speech had "suggestive" power. A lecturer presents his hearers with things new to them, or illuminates them from new angles, whereas the speaker has the task of saying that which the audience feels, but is unable itself to say in clear and proper form. The words of a lecturer can be stolen, in a book, for example. A speaker cannot be plagiarized. His greatest triumph is when his thoughts and words are repeated by his hearers who have made his words their own, because they think that they are expressing their own thoughts in using the words of the speaker. A lecturer stands behind his words, in the shadow of his thoughts, so to speak, but for the speaker the word is the means through which he expresses the power of his personality and gives it force. The speaker becomes for many listeners the incarenation of the idea that he represents. For many hearers, the thought of the idea is bound to the

thought of him who presented the idea, who with the force of his personality overcame the internal resistance of his hearers. All of this makes it clear that the outward aspects of a meeting, its surroundings, the way in which a speech is given, are not minor matters that one can do without, but rather necessary preconditions if a meeting is to fulfill its purposes, if all the effort that went into it is not to be in vain. Now and again, one still encounters the completely wrong idea that since National Socialism has taken power, meetings and speeches no longer have the same significance as they did when we were fighting for power. He who as a result wants to reduce the number of meetings, or take less care in holding them, thereby proves that he has never understood the nature of the National Socialist movement. Just as a religion or a church can never stop preaching and explaining the faith in a thousand ways from the pulpit, no more can National Socialism surrender the direct and powerful effect of the speech, which ever and again strengthens the faith of the movement and provides new power for the never-ending struggle. Ever so many newspapers, magazines, and books can at most only make this enormously important task easier!

The Jewish Question as a Weapon at Home and Abroad

It has become apparent that the reduction of public discussion about the Jewish Question has misled a great part of the public, who now are starting to see the Jewish Question as a weapon we can do without, since the Jewish Question has, after all, been solved in Germany. This view is dangerous and false. Were it correct and this line of thinking has

been often used the church could have ended its meetings hundreds of years ago, since everyone was Christian, and the Christian Question was therefore resolved. It is true that we have solved the Jewish Question in Germany, but it has become even more important outside Germany during this war, for this war is a war of the Jews against Germany and its allies. Just as the domestic struggle in Germany ended in an anti-Semitic revolution, so, too, this war must end in an anti-Semitic world revolution. The best foundations for that have already been laid. There are already important antiSemitic movements in nearly all the nations of Europe, along with more or less advanced Jewish laws aimed at diminishing the influence of the Jews. Even in enemy nations, antiSemitic voices are so strong that leading newspapers and leading politicians and churchmen have to face the matter in public. In Germany, we have made the whole nation anti-Semitic by always pointing the finger at the Jews, as hard as they tried to hide themselves. We always ripped the mask from their faces. The Jews attempted often enough to divert the public from the subject by busying them with other matters, since our propaganda was most unpleasant for them. That was still more reason to stubbornly continue that propaganda. The Jewish Question must be the central issue in the meeting waves of the immediate future. Each German must know that everything he suffers in this war, all the unpleasantness, shortages, overtime, bloody terror against women and children and bloody losses on the battlefield, are the fault of the Jews. Each meeting must include the following line of thinking: The International Jew wanted this war. He possessed the key economic positions within every enemy people and in every enemy nation, and used his power to ruthlessly drive the peoples into war. He today controls public opinion in enemy nations, owning the press, radio, and film, and uses them as the voice of these peoples. Still, knowledge of the nature of Jewry has taken hold in enemy nations, and is increasing. There is no crime in which the Jew is not involved. Just as was once the case in Germany, well over half of all those engaged in financial crimes, cases of fraud, bankruptcy, corruption, and stock speculation are Jews. Where Jews do not want to appear as important men themselves, they have bought leading personalities in public life to do the Jews' work for them. Jews earn money from war, and therefore have an interest in a long war, though hardly a Jew bears a weapon himself, or earns his living by his own hands. Just as was once the case in Germany, Jews let others fight and work for them.

The Jews incited this war as a final attempt to maintain their power in the world and to defeat all those who saw through them. This war will end with an anti-Semitic world revolution, and with the destruction of Jewry in the world, which is the prerequisite to a lasting peace. The key thought is this: Everything is the fault of the Jews! Recent events, particularly Katyn and the related developments in the Allied camp give much current information on this matter (see Redner-Schnellinformation issue 56). Reichsleiter Dr. Goebbels published an article in "Das Reich" on 9 May 1932 titled "The War and the Jews." This article will be sent to all speakers as a special edition of the "Sonderdienst der RPL, issue 20/43). It provides extensive material on the Jewish Question.

Background: The Nazi Party depended heavily on speakers to get its mesage across, particularly when the party wanted to say things that would be awkward to say in the mass media, which were accessible to foreigners. The speakers needed to be kept up-to-date. The Redner-Schnellinformation [ Speakers' Express Information], published by the party propaganda headquarters, provided speakers with guidelines for immediate campaigns. This is a translation of an issue dated 18 May 1943, in the midst of one of the party's periodic anti-Semitic campaigns. It formed the basis for public speeches throughout Germany. What I find particularly striking in the article is the quotation by a British sailor, hoping that Hitler will soon eliminate five million Jews. It is more vivid and specific than any other public statement I've found in Nazi rhetoric. Twilight of the Jews throughout the World!

In his 8 May article in "Das Reich" titled "The War and the Jews," Reich Minister Dr.Goebbels wrote:

None of the Fhrer's prophetic words has come so inevitably true as his prediction that if Jewry succeeded in provoking a second world war, the result would be not the destruction of the Aryan race, but rather the wiping out of the Jewish race. This process is of vast importance, and will have unforeseeable consequences that will take time. But it can no longer be halted. His words over recent weeks have confirmed by increasingly striking anti-Semitic statements in all nations. Even enemy nations, above all England and America, are no exception. There is increasing evidence that the widest circles of the citizenry of these countries are realizing that: 1. All the misery, all the suffering, and all the shortages caused by this war are exclusively of Jewish origin, and that the war itself is the work of the Jews; 2. The Jews cleverly keep themselves far from any battle or sacrifice of their own blood, but play a leading, and generally criminal, role in the public life of those nations affected by the war. For tactical political reasons, it would be unwise to emphasize this growing knowledge of the Jews in our press and radio, since that would have the danger of encouraging those enemy nations, thanks to their exclusively Jewish leadership, to combat further growth of this view with all the resources at their command. It is, therefore, appropriate that our speakers present this to our German people in meetings and mass meetings. It offers a particularly good opportunity to present our constant warnings against and accusations of the Jews using new and interesting material. For the first time, we here present a series of enemy and neutral voices on the theme of "recognizing the Jews." The English journalist Swaffer, who works for the Labour Party newspapers "People" and "Daily Herald," wrote a series of pro-Jewish articles for the English publication "Worlds Press News." As the journalist later said, these hymns of praise for the Jews were a sort of "trial balloon" through which he wanted to get a clear picture of public opinion on the matter. Mr. Swaffer's experiment was a complete success. He himself reported on the results in later articles. Among the many letters, there was a flood of angry rejections of his praise of the Jews. According to one letter: "It interesting to see you dance to the music of your Jewish masters. But it's a good thing that the English people are finally recognizing the slumbering Jewish danger in its midst. I hope the knowledge continues to grow." Another reply went as follows: "I do not know your nationality, but as long as you live in England, enjoy England's

protection, and are paid in English currency, you should try to be English. It's enough that England was forced into this war against its will, which serves no other purpose than to protect Jewish financial interests. I hope that anti-Semitism takes hold everywhere in England. For too long, Jewish finance, Jewish speculation, and Jewish financial criminals and war profiteers have controlled us. The Jews in England have become a plague. In the future, our government should offer them no protection and no entrance visas. As a race, the Jews are cowardly, dirty, unpatriotic, and egocentric. We know only too well that our sons are fighting for Jewish England, and that they are cannon fodder for the Jews." A sailor in the English navy answered the journalist in this way: "Are you a Jew yourself, or is there some special reason why you dance to the Jewish tune? The sooner Hitler destroys those 5 million Jews, the better off the world will be. Let us lift our glasses and drink to the day that there are no Jews left in the world." Just as striking are the following statements by other readers: "Don't you have anything better to do than to waste valuable paper by defending a human race that sees earning money as the only thing that is worthwhile? The Jews exploit England's hospitality. One almost wants to ask how much the Chief Rabbi paid you to write your article." "Christianity teaches that the Jews are good for nothing. The Jewish religion, however, teaches that they are the Chosen People to whom one day all the other peoples will be subordinate. Such a doctrine raises our suspicions. Since the Jews are systematically raised to be arrogant, is no surprise that no one likes them." "The growing opposition to the Jews in England can be traced to the 'poor" Jewish refugees from Germany. We gave them shelter, freedom, jobs, and a chance to earn money while our men have to fight and die at the front. The whole British public has noticed that not a week passes without one of these immigrant Jews being revealed as a black marketer or a financial scoundrel." The Swedish newspaper "Dagposten," in its 8 May edition, carried a long article about growing anti-Jewish opinions in England. The reporter writes that England proves the old truth: Anti-Semitism becomes epidemic wherever there are a lot of Jews. In mid-April, the "Daily Mirror" carried a story that complained fervently about the many refugees of all stripes in England, primarily the Jews, "who steal the world from God himself," while the English are either serving in the military or engaged in hard physical labor. On 1 April, the "News Chronicle" reported on the obnoxious behavior of the Jews in a fancy

spa in the north of England. Even the rabbi of the Jewish community, in the face of a strikingly large number of Jewish spa visitors, had to strongly warn his co-religionists to be less obvious in public, so as to avoid arousing hostile reactions. Particularly interesting in this connection, the organ of a British association supporting economic, social, and political reform carried a major piece on the dangerous economic and political influence of Jewish world capital. The paper came to the conclusion that the methods of Jewish capital domination over the economic and social life of the world's independent nations leads to a latent, long lasting condition of war that is responsible for all the miseries and conflicts. The paper presented this clear example: "A telephone call from London can lead to the manufacture of a certain machine part, formerly made in Germany, in some country on the other side of the world. The affected firm in Germany thus loses what may have been its best customer. We give Germany as an example, since it best demonstrates the results. If this action is multiplied, the country soon has no trade with its neighbors, but instead suffers under growing debt piled on it by the same profit-hungry usurious financial figures. The suffering country has no other choice but self-reliance, a noble goal, but one that the financiers hate since it robs them of lucrative business. The suffering country uses its raw materials for its own purposes, and it is understandable that it builds a reserve of war materials in case it is attacked by countries controlled by monopoly finance. As long as there are two competing financial systems in the world, there will always be potential cause for war between the respective nations." This article caused the "Jewish Chronicle," the Jewish organ in London, considerable excitement. The paper claimed that the line of thinking repeated here was "unhealthy," and called it dangerously anti-Semitic. The Jewish paper thus itself revealed that the criminal economic methods described in the article are, in fact, the Jewish norm. This wisdom revealed by this British association is nothing new to those who know the Jews. The Jews themselves have said for a long time that their whole purpose and goal is to enslave the world through economic, social, and political misery. War is always an opportunity to them for big business, which is why they want wars. The Jew Dr. Martin Eli Rawage wrote this about his own race in the New York monthly "The Century Magazine" in January 1928 : "We are the ones who incite world wars, and the main beneficiaries of such wars." [This was a favorite Nazi quote, though the article cited is clearly satiric in intent.] Georg Bernhard, formerly a widely known press Jew in Germany, wrote on 1 September 1938 in the Jewish weekly "Die neue Weltbhne," at the time published in Paris:

"It cannot go on like this. If a new world war does not break out in the near future, 150,000 or 200,000 Jews will have to emigrate." The Jew Bernhard's longings were followed a half a year later by this triumphant conclusion of the London Jewish paper "Jewish Chronicle" of 3 March 1939: "The Jewish Question is being discussed by statesmen in a way more acute and compelling than ever before in the history of the world. They can do whatever they want, but the nations of the earth well never be able to get away from this question. The Jewish serpent will show its hydra's heads everywhere, blocking the way to a relaxation of international tensions. We Jews will not allow peace in the world, however hard statesmen and peace advocates try to bring it about." This claim by the "Jewish Chronicle" is consistent with two other Jewish declarations which as far back as 1934 proclaimed Jewish war against Germany. Emil Ludwig Cohn, the classic example of a Jewish emigrant gifted at incitement, wrote in the American magazine "Les Annales": "Hitler does not want war, but he will be forced into it. England will have the last word, just as it did in 1914." In the same year, the Jewish magazine "Natche Retsch" wrote: Our Jewish interests demand the final destruction of Germany. The German people itself is a danger to us. It is therefore impossible to allow Germany to grow strong under its current government." Jewish hatred toward us corresponds to our goal. One always meets people who want to believe that our constant claims that this war is a matter of "either/or" are not accurate. These mental midgets unable to see beyond their noses believe that a compromise peace would not be all that bad for the German people. This ignores the fact that the Jews who brought about this war think of us with blind hatred and total opposition. For them, there is no end to the war short of the total destruction of all German life. That is why Th. N. Kaufman wants to sterilize the German people, or why another Jewish apostle of hatred, writing in England, calls for the complete extermination of the German people. A third plan known to us involves the deportation of all German children, and is motivated by the same blind hatred. Finally, the clear intention of our big capitalist-plutocratic opponents in England and America is to give Germany and Europe over to murderous Soviet terror. That is the plan of World Jewry, which unleashed this war and directs it through its puppet statesmen in England, America, and the Soviet Union. In England and America, the realization is spreading that the Jew alone is behind this war

and all of its terrible suffering. This will fulfil the prophecy in the essay by Reich Minister Dr. Goebbels that was quoted at the beginning of this essay: "We are convinced that at the end of the war, Jewry will face a humanity that fully understands the Jewish Question." This understanding is advancing in giant steps. At the beginning of this month, an article in the Swedish newspaper "Folkets Dagbladet," datelined Washington, reported that according to official statistics published in the "New York World Telegram," the number of Jews in New York has grown from 1,760,000 to 2,206,000. That means that every fifth New Yorker today is a strongly religious Jew. This statistic includes only religious Jews. In truth, the Jewish percentage of the city has to be significantly higher. This, too, indicates growing anti-Semitism. The Swedish newspaper reported that recently, growing numbers of leaflets have been spread, pointing to a secret organization opposed to the Jews. The same thing is evident in Argentina, South Africa, and in all the other nations not involved in the war. As we know from our own struggle in Germany, the Jews are attempting to combat this growing awareness. On the one hand, the rabbis work hard to warn the Jews against standing out too much. They also try to persuade the Jews not to be so open in making money through of the war. However, they know only too well that antiSemitism cannot be eliminated in that way, since the Jew is unable to change his inner nature. Wherever one does not give him a good kick and keep him down, he grows arrogant and obnoxious, using every available opportunity to commit crimes of corruption, black marketering, hoarding, raising prices, and other such crimes. They thus quickly turn to the old familiar tactic of shouting that they are persecuted innocents, encouraging their puppet statesmen to pass laws protecting the Jews. In London, they organized a "Conference to Combat the Danger of Anti-Semitism. The "Daily Herald" reported on the conference, and complained that "anti-Semitism is spreading like poison in the whole body politic." The conference concluded with a call to make spreading anti-Semitic ideas a crime punishable by law. Formerly, anti-Jewish statements could be prosecuted only as seditious statements. Anti-Semitism itself was not illegal. Now the Jews are demanding legal protection. At the same time, they demand that the British government make the radio available for "educational talks" on the Jewish Question so that people will understand the "plague of anti-Semitism." This is the old cry of the criminal who shouts "Stop thief" to divert attention from himself. It will do them no good. Their own behavior insures that they will be seen through more and more. In these nations, too, people will finally realize that there is only way to peace,

namely the one expressed in the words of a National Socialist poet of our day: "Peoples, Awake! To end the misery, Judah, the ancient enemy, must fall! Ours is the victory over misery and death: Freedom and peace for us all!"

The Danger of Americanism "Americanism" is not merely a moral-cultural form of degeneration, nor can it be combated by nonpolitical means. It has already been defeated when one digs it up by its roots and sees there plainly the words: "Made in Israel." (Background: This article comes from Das Schwarze Korps, the weekly published by the SS. It is part of the general propaganda campaign aimed against the United States. When we speak of young Europe and its young nations, we contrast them to the senile world of dying liberalism which, under the leadership of Jewry, is once more gathering all its material resources in an attempt to forever subject the world to the power of money under the domination of those who have it. They want to perpetuate the social injustice they find so comfortable. More is involved than differences between ages and generations, however. Our camp includes not only those who are young enough to topple the old and build a new world. It includes all those spiritual forces that see the new in the collapse of the old, who want to build a new future with new ways and means. The triumph of the Copernican worldview over the unfruitful dogma of the past, the triumph of science over empty faith, was a victory of youth. They followed the shining examples of their predecessors. The youth have always been the battering ram that helped bring the national idea to fruition. The discovery of the laws of inheritance has been the occasion and guidepost of a new youth movement that builds on the eternal culturebuilding values of race and blood. They lead from the deadly and destructive lethargy of

materialism to the new world of tomorrow. Today it is as it always was in times of revolution. Those fighting for the new have more to offer the youth than those who live in yesterday, who hold to what they have grown accustomed to, even if it has long since become rigid, empty and stifling. We offer the youth the freedom to develop their nation, even in the case of smaller nations. We offer them room for creative fantasy, the opportunity to transform great thoughts to reality outside the lecture hall. We offer the realization of dreams on a world scale, a common Germanic will, a common European will. We fill the spiritual vacuum left by liberalism with the magic of a worldview that draws self-confidence and meaning to life from race and the blood of one's ancestors. What does old England have to offer its youth to justify the war's requirements? It cannot even begin to solve its own social problems, much less offer anything to other peoples. Where is there a healthy youth that is on fire for Bolshevism? It was a danger only during the spiritual interregnum that followed the First World War. In the face of an inadequate yesterday, it was the only force, the only revolutionary movement, available, and anything was better than nothing. Today Bolshevism may have reached its material and organizational pinnacle on the bent backs of its devotees, but as a spiritual movement it is finished. The crass incompetence of its methods and goals have proven it to be the very epitome of capitalist slavery. The only remaining alternative is Americanism. As strange as it may sound, it is the only serious competition to National Socialism's racial worldview in the struggle for the youth, in the struggle for the future of humanity. In the end, however, it is only a forerunner of Bolshevism. Americanism is certainly not a spiritual movement, nor is it a worldview that it is possible to oppose at the intellectual level. Its political beneficiaries have tried in recent years to give it, if not a face, at least a program or a goal: "the American Century." It is a collection of empty promises of the type democratic orators have always made but this time on a world scale. There is nothing in them to excite a reasonable man. But that is exactly the point of Americanism! The key is not what it promises, but what it cannot promise. The key is not what it demands of men, but what gives them. That would not matter if the world's youth were of the sound character that develops from racially conscious lines, tradition-rich families, good upbringing and close camaraderie. But that is not the way things are. The good fairy will not give youth the values they will need in life. The racially sound youth can be inspired by virtue of his blood. But the blood does not tell him what should inspire him. He can be misled into serving a bad cause. He can squander his enthusiasm if he matures in a spiritual vacuum. One should not underestimate the danger of Americanism, or its seductive power. It offers devotion to a culture of

nothingness, independence, lack of restraint, a freedom from all obligation, from all honor, from all consideration. We do not wish to deny this culture of nothingness its right to exist. It can even, rightly used, be good, just as it is sometimes a pleasure to do nothing. Should a German soldier happen to find a portable record player and jazz records in the deserted quarters of British or American soldiers, he does not smash them against the wall. Instead, he takes them along and thinks he has a great treasure. We don't want to suggest excessive cultural disaster here. There are times when he wants a vacation from himself, from us, from the whole world. He needs to relax, and certainly does not wish to ponder intellectual matters. Nothing is better suited to take him out of the normal world than the complete nonsense of this hot music, this cacophony of animal howls, wild instruments and foot-stomping Negro lust. It takes him away from human concerns back to the depths of pre-human apedom, returning him to the time when people did not need to think because there was no past and no future. Its effect is like that of alcohol, which turns normally rational men into shouting, destructive children. That can sometimes be good for serious and intelligent men. And the soldier certainly does not forget his German mission, nor does he lose his character or honor when he occasionally spends an hour relaxing to entertaining music. He is immune to the danger of confusing this rhythmic pig grunting with good music, much less art or culture. It cannot meet his higher standards. Others, however, are not as immune. That is what those who deny any appeal of Americanism forget. Certainly there is no danger that our young boys and girls will fall into sexual frenzy while listening to some Jewish lout blowing on a saxophone. One can introduce them to the high priests of the American jitterbug with no worries at all. At most they will laugh. Our young Luftwaffe aides and working girls would hardly join in a dance marathon. And the winning couple running through the arena in tattered, sweaty clothes would receive not applause, but a beating. But that is our youth. They are made of different stuff, and grew up in a world in which dignity comes from doing one's duty, and both are seen not as a burden but as the joy of life. That may be self-evident to us, but it is not so to others. Whole nations behave in ways not guided by clear tasks. They are only individuals, parents, teachers, tribes and groups, able to lead them out of error and confusion into a clear world of meaning. We may not forget that during the tragic years following the First World War, a significant part of our youth too fell under the appeal of Americanism, waving their limbs in the Shimmy and the Charleston because there was nothing else to do. We sometimes fail to see that there are young people in Europe today often from the socalled better classes who not only do not stand within the camp of young Europe, but even mock or scorn it. Many of us simply cannot understand how there can be a mass

meeting at a Norwegian university protesting those who are risking their lives in the east for the freedom and security of their native land, or how Swedish students, even if they do not jump to the side of their Finnish brothers, do not at least follow their struggle with respect. These young men surely are not consciously supporting the plans of Stalin and Roosevelt. Thank God, this small part of Europe's youth is not a politically aware counterpart to the European youth defending young Europe in the east. Those who think politically and act from conviction demonstrate it through their actions. The others have followed the comfortable path that leads from political thinking to Americanism. That is the political danger of Americanism. It leads those who fall prey to it away from political thinking, away from responsibility, even to their nation, away from decency, even from national decency. The American lad may use fine phrases to say that the nationalist is his political enemy. In reality, however, he fights a man who makes uncomfortable and difficult demands on him, the man who recognizes the fate of the nation as his fate, who respects the woman who will become the mother of his children, who wants to be a model, who always acts as if the eyes of the nation are upon him. The American lad feels his "freedom" restricted by such behavior. He wants to keep the hot music spinning on the record player, not be reminded that he must work as well as relax, that he must not only enjoy, but also honor the dignity of his nation. That is neither comfortable nor pleasant. It is pleasant to talk slang and enjoy a loose moral life with those of like mind. Americanism has its delights, and he who is captivated by them not only sticks his head in the sand, he also gets some pleasure. It is nice to be able to dismiss all criticism of a too hearty enjoyment of life with the claim that one is defending human rights against Nazi brutality. Americanism is not a logical development. It certainly does not spring from the descendants of the Virginia colonists with their Prussian sense of honor and duty, nor from the healthy farmers and citizens of the Midwest. It did not triumph easily against the often overdone moralism of Puritan circles. Its power grew along with that of Jewry. As is the case of everything that follows the orders of Jewry, Americanism's lack of culture and morality, its freedom-promising "Century of the Child," is nothing but a concealed way of ruining the youth. Americanism is a splendid method of depoliticization. The Jews have used jazz and movies, magazines and smut, gangsterism and free love, and every perverse desire, to keep the American people so distracted that they pay no attention to their own fate. Even in politics, they are no longer influenced by the head, only by what is under the belt. The Jews would not be Jews if they did not want to apply such tested methods to the entire

world. Nearly every nation in the world faced or is facing the need to combat Americanism, a generally pleasant retreat to a barbaric lack of culture. The logical consequences of Americanism will help the world combat it. The fact that 60% of American crimes are committed by children 13 years old and under and that rapes increased three-fold between 1942 and 1943 proves that Americanism has reached its limits. It will provoke a counter-movement that, just as in Europe, can only be political. Americanism is not merely a moral-cultural form of degeneration, nor can it be combated by nonpolitical means. It has already been defeated when one digs it up by its roots and sees there plainly the words: "Made in Israel."

Background: In 1940, the Nazis put out a booklet titled "What Do I Do in an Emergency?" It told Germans what to do in various crisis situations, and was to be kept by the telephone, kitchen, or other highly visible place. Warning! Enemy Propaganda

In modern warfare, weapons, the economy, physical resources and organization play a role. So too do spirit and soul. A new and sinister weapon is used against a nation's spiritual strength: Propaganda! Germany lost the World War of 1914-1918 because it did not recognize the danger of enemy propaganda. It collapsed spiritually.

That may not and will not happen again! Enemy propaganda wants to break the German people's will to resist by slanders, rumors, suspicions, and with political, military, or simply general lies. The methods of enemy propaganda include: leaflets, appeals, false pictures, atrocity stories, rumors, radio incitement and systematic complaining. All those who are reached by enemy propaganda and have their will to victory reduced by it, whether consciously or unconsciously, are tools of enemy propaganda. Complainers and grumblers, doubters and agitators are the enemy's spiritual Foreign Legionnaires amidst the German people. It is often only a short step from doubting the justice of one's cause to the complete collapse of the will to resist. The World War proved this!

How do I respond to enemy propaganda?

If I encounter enemy propaganda in word, print, picture, radio, in conversation about the news or through rumors, it depends on my intelligence and good sense whether or not I render it ineffective. I immediately collect the enemy propaganda material and explain what it is to citizens who have come in contact with it. I know that the greatest danger of enemy propaganda is in the phrase: "There must be some truth in it." I am careful in all my conversations and correspondence. Letters and conversations could reach the enemy and provide him with material. I strengthen the will to victory of citizens who may be wavering. If I encounter citizens who are being overcome by enemy propaganda, I confront them directly and make clear to them the enormous danger they face, appealing to their sense of

honor. Anyone who becomes a tool of enemy propaganda and contributes to weakening our spiritual strength places himself outside the national community. He should not be surprised if he is treated as an enemy of the people and of the state. If all my warnings are in vain, I do my duty and turn him over to the authorities. I actively oppose enemy propaganda whenever I encounter it. I also do this with foreigners and friends abroad whom I talk with or write to. If I have German propaganda material at hand, I include it in my letters. If I find or am given enemy propaganda material, I quickly write in large, clear letters "Enemy propaganda" on it and turn it over immediately to the nearest police station. I do not show such enemy propaganda material to strangers. I obey all regulations against listening to foreign radio stations, not only because there are severe penalties but also because I view it as an obvious patriotic duty. I know that enemy propaganda material is an enemy method of warfare. Enemy Propaganda is poison! He who falls for it is lost. I also know the severe penalties for harming our fighting ability.
