HEAT TREATMENT PROCEDURE
1.0 SCOPE
SW-HTP-01 1 3
1.1 This procedure defines the heat treatment required by the material specification and postweld heat treatment(PWHT) of pressure rating parts of the valve of SWI Valve Co.,Ltd.(SWI) 1.2 This procedure shall be applied to the manufacturing process. 2.0 APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS STANDARDS & CODES 2.1 ASME B31.3 "CHEMICAL PLANT AND PETROLEUM REFINERY PIPING" 2.2 Applicable material Specification. (ASTM) 3.0 HEAT TREATMENT & POSTWELDED HEAT TREATMENT(PWHT) PROCEDURE 3.1 Preparation 1) The forging & Cast steel shall be free of the scales, oil, grease, rust and other foreign adherents. 2) Loading 3.2 Heating After loading, temperature and time shall be prepared in according to the rules. 3.3 Holding 3.4 Cooling 4.0 INSPECTION The inspection after heat treatment and PWHT shall be performed on below test. 1) Visual 2) Heating Rate 3) Holding Time 4) Cooling Rate 5) Hardness Test
