Transformation and DataSource

A Transformation is used to consolidate, cleanse, and integrate data. The fields of the source are converted into the fields of the target

A Data Source is defined to specify which kind of data is to be uploaded from the source system

Data Transfer Process and InfoPackage

InfoPackages are used to upload data from the source systems into PSA (that is assigned to the DataSource); once a DTP is in place, all other processing options are not available (grayed out)

Data transfer processes are used to transfer the data further; in this case from the PSA table (that is assigned to the data source) to the InfoCube
