Americanstudentspursuingjournalismdegreesatahigherlearninginstitution.Threetoninescholarships
areawardedeachyeartostudentswhoarecurrentNAJAmembersingoodstanding.Annual
membershipscost$10forhighschoolstudentsand$20forcollegestudents.

Eligibilitycriteriaforscholarships:AnyNativeAmericangraduatinghighschoolsenior(May2013)
orcollegestudentpursuingacareerinradio,televisionorprint(newspaper)journalism.Applicants
NAJAmembershipstatuswillbeverifiedatthetimeofapplicationandalsoduringthetimeofpayment
distribution.Ifasked,thecandidatemustbeabletoprovideproofofenrollmentinastateorafederally
recognizedtribe.

HighschoolSenior(GraduatingMay2013)
CollegeFreshman,Sophomore,Junior,Senior,Graduate
Studentsmustsubmitthefollowingdocumentswiththeirapplications:

Coverletterstatingfinancialneed,areaofinterest(print,broadcast,photojournalism,newmedia
orjournalismeducation)andreasonsforpursuingacareerinjournalism.
