Medical Technology brings in the power of technology to medicine. In this sophisticated world, technology has brought so much positive results in many aspects of life. One important integration of technology is on the field of medicine. With the help of the modern technologies, several discoveries came out which developed the health care and medicine. But Medical Technology needs to be further understood by people especially those who are planning to enter the field of medicine. In this study, graduation high school students are the target group of people since they are the ones who are going to be potentially involved in Medical Technology. The process of data gathering for this study is done by having a survey on several graduating high school students. They were asked a few questions about their insights and understanding about Medical Technology. Results of this study were all based from the observations upon reviewing the outcome of the data gathering procedure.

Statement of Purpose/Problem This research aims to determine the understanding of the graduating high school students who will be potentially engaged on the study of Medical Technology. Using this research, we will be able to determine if this group of people knows exactly whats waiting for them upon entering this field of study in medicine. Significance of the Study This research will help this certain group of people to further understand what Medical Technology really is. Students who would be entering the college level of education should know exactly what is the course they would be taking up. In this case, students who are interested with Medical Technology should be knowledgeable enough about the course theyre planning to take up. It is important for them to know what lies behind the study of Medical Technology as early as now since in a few months time, college years welcome them aboard. Scope and Limitation of the Study The scope of this research includes gathering information from the target group of people regarding their knowledge about Medical Technology while still outside of it. The research will only gather information from the target group and will not further discuss what is Medical Technology. Since the target group of this research is graduating high school students, the source of information is limited only to those people who fall on this category. Additional information are also provided using articles which are related to the procedure and results of this research. Definition of Terms Chapter 2: RESEARCH PROCEDURE In this research, data and information were gathered by conduction a short survey to a group of graduating high school students. This certain group of people was selected since this is the group which will be potentially engaged on Medical Technology, as mentioned earlier.

The target group of people is divided into two. The first group is composed of students who are planning to take up Medical Technology in college. The second group is composed of students who are still unsure but may or may not likely to take up the said course in college. Since the objective of this research and this is limited to determining the knowledge of the target group about Medical Technology, only one question was asked for each respondent. The question given is, What is Medical Technology based on your understanding and expectations? After conducting the short survey, the results were also grouped into two, according to the grouping of the respondents. Upon compiling the results, comparison and contrast was made between the groups. Chapter 3: DISCUSSION PROPER
