How would you as a teacher trainer introduce the peer lesson observation? From observing this kind of adaptation, Ive increasingly found myself looking for ways to include exercises and activity types that encourage the students to personalize and localize the target language. In other words, if I can produce materials that allow teachers to personalize and localize then they wont need to repurpose the materials in the first place. I as a trainer observatory I would like to introduce giving to the teacher the certain to do the best. Which observation tasks could be interesting for your trainer? Write down some ideas The example below shows a form designed by a trainer to encourage inexperienced teachers on a pre-service course to focus on how new language is introduced. The first three columns require some kind of straightforward reporting back of what happened but the fourth column demands a response from the observer and in this way it begins to develop the observers evaluative skills. How would you write down your feedback sheet ? which you could use for your future lesson observations? In polite style giving him/her some advices How would you manage the feedback discussion? Write down the most important rules 1.- Dont lose the focus on the purpose of the observation 2.- Keep calm 3.- Give always the specific part where the teacher is wrong or correct 4.-Give him/her an advice What happens if the trainer fails? What advice would you give him/her? Feeding back on an inadequate lesson is never easy and whilst the process should be exactly the same as for any other lesson observation it is even more important that the key focus is on the learning and progress made by the learner rather than on the teacher themselves. This useful document provides guidance on how to structure feedback on an inadequate lesson . What does the trainer do , if he does not accept the feedback of the trainer? Invite him/ her to do another presentation Is a second visit possible? Whit the same trainer? Yes is possible , I recommend that the second time use another purpose to be observated .
