The volume of the cone in its entirety is: V = 1/3 * PI * (a+x)^2 * H, where H is the cone height.

If you project the cone onto a plane Oxy, your configuration will be a triangle (projection of the cone) encasing a s Height of cone H = KJ + Height of triangle AED = a + Height of triangle AED = a + AK ( KJ = height of cylinder = a)

The slope of the segment AC is EF / FC. FC = JC - JF = (a+x) - a = x. EF = height cylinder = height square = a. The slop So: -a/x = -AK / a. AK = a^2 / x.

Height H of cone = a + AK = a + (a^2/x) = a*(a+x) / x. Therefore the volume of the entire cone shall be: V = 1/3 * PI * (a+x)^2 * H = 1/3 * PI * (a+x)^2 * a * (a+x) / x = 1/3 * PI * a* (a+x)^3 / x

PLease note though that the volume of the "hollow cone" shall be: Vhollow = V - Volume Cylinder = 1/3 * PI * a* (a+x)^3 / x - PI*a^3
