CHARLIES LIFE

CHAPTER 1 CHARLIE

t was Sunday morning and the clock had already

struck 7:00 am. This was the time to wake up and get ready to go to school. As the alarm his mom has bought him was too loud and is impossible for Charlie to switch of it he had no choice other than waking up. This is the time each and every student hates. Wake up in the morning, Brush their teeth, bathing while half asleep and dragging the heavy bags to the school. Now lets discuss about his room, interest and his studies. His room is his study

place. Dont become feared after reading this. He does not study anything that is taken in the school but he studies about plants, flowers, Insects etc. These are his interests. He does not like to study the matters that are taken in the school. That can be seen also in his marks. He scored 10 out of 100 in mathematics, 22 in biology ( that is because he studied about plants, flower etc), 16 in chemistry and so on. His room was full of pictures. The pictures were of plants, insects and flowers. This is his life. This is the life of Charlie. Really I love his life. And the funniest thing for him was that he had mathematics test paper that day. For which he had studied nothing. He also loved to read books. Half of his knowledge was through reading and the other half contained only insects and plants. Finally he woke up and got his eyes somehow open. His next task was to bath. Getting fresh is very important for him. He did it very nicely and he says that if bathing was a subject he could have scored above 95 out of 100. After this comes the breakfast for which his mother may give him anything which is sometime good and sometimes yucky. What is it that

day? It is the yucky idly. He called it yucky not because his mom made the idly yucky but it is because he hated idly from the time he ate it first. He firstly ate some of them and drank the milk fast. And he was off to school soon as he had to complete the math homework. He also loved the words of great people. And the best one he loved was I love to walk in rain because no one could see me crying which was told by Charlie Chaplin. He had a flex in his room on which this quote is written. His parents thought he loved this quote because the person who had told this quote had the same name of his - Charlie. He reached school within 30 minutes. There he met one of his nerdy classmates. He copies his math homework, from him. His name is Antony. Antony should be flattered by Charlie to get his note. Charlie and his friends always liked trapping Antony and all other nerds of their class. Whenever he does not get the note from anyone his dairy will be filled by teachers with red ink. The thing we need to know is will he mess his math test paper. And yes as usual he messed it up.

CHAPTER 2 Charlies life is full of environment friendly things. He is a person who tries to mix science with nature so that there is no harm to environment. Because of his love to nature even his bicycle got changed. His cycle is red in color and ii has black stripes on it. Now it is like a mobile garden. The cycle has a box. The box was attached by Charlie and it is the place where he keeps his tools like magnifying glass. These tools will be used during is outdoor researches. Every Saturday he will go for his outdoor researches. People in the neighborhood thinks he is mad because to limit the use of limited nature is too difficult especially for a boy of only 14. This is his job on Saturdays. On Sundays he will write the report on last Saturdays outdoor research and he will conduct one or two experiments on it. After all that he will write a final conclusion on his research and if the

research is a successful one he would share it with his friends. He is only aiming on his biggest dream. That is, to be a scientist who makes use of the unlimited energy rather than using the limited nature. He had created a club there at school which consisted of his best friends who really trusted him and they used have a club meeting on every Fridays and they will discuss the topic for the next Saturdays outdoor research. Their some researches had had been popular in the school and some popular in their class. One of their working models had had also worked for the school exhibition. This is how Charlies life goes. In this matter Charlies life is a smooth one but his life has problems when it comes to the studying matters. And most of the teaching staff of Albert Phillip school did not had had a good opinion on Charlies study matters. His parents tried everything to get back him to the track. He was sent to the best tuition teacher in the town giving 500$ monthly. He was sent for counseling. He was given guide books for all subjects but nothing worked. But Charlie believed that one day he will surprise all of the teachers of his school

and his parents. And one part of it was shown for this December examinations when he stepped from low marked to average marked anyway he had had to step to higher ranks because next year it was the 10th grade coming up. The 9th grade year gave rise to his confidence because he marks raised and many of his researches were successful. This year due to his performance he got praise from many of his teachers and he got gifts from his parents.

CHAPTER 3 Now a days, people thinks that in this world we cant be successful without education. And all look for more scope jobs and do not look for the jobs what world needs. They do not care even if anything happen to the world they are always in search of money. They only want their thing to go on they dont want to know if the others getting what they have right to have. People try to shine in front of others to get their job done they even cheat their best friends to get their job done. If a person buys a car the neighbor will buy another which is costlier than the other persons car. This world is a competitive world and people which are more talented than others will succeed. It came like this because of the attitude of people of this world. To succeed in now- a- day life money is also required. Because of this the poor people but talented people cannot succeed. There many fundamentals for success in life and 5 of them are mentioned below:

1 Be proactive. 2 Take up responsibilities. 3 Be a good leader. 4 Dont let fear stop you. 5 Never stop learning.

For these all a Never give up attitude must be there. And about leadership I have to quote the words of Tao Te Ching A good soldier does not inspire fear; A good fighter does not display aggression; A good conqueror does not engage in battle; A good leader does not exercise authority. This is the value of unimportance; This is how to win the cooperation of others; This to how to build the same harmony that is in nature. And there are many qualities for a successful life and 20 are mentioned below:

1. Sincerity. Be sincere in your actions. Dont try to deceive or impress others. Be yourself, and do what you feel is right based on your values and beliefs. You will be surprised at how people accept you when you stop trying to be someone you arent.

2. Unfeigned. Be genuine in what you do; your actions speak louder than your words. Dont falsify or embellish events that may have happened. Dont say one thing and do the other.

3. Wholehearted. Be enthusiastic about what you do. Show it. Be committed to life and everything that you set out to accomplish in life. Devote yourself to your family, friends, and community and commit yourself to being the best father, husband, wife, mother, friend, and neighbor you can be.

4. Honest. Be honest in your dealings with yourself and with others. When others interact with you, let them see someone who is reputable, respectable and genuine. Do what you say you will do and never use fraud or deception to get ahead in life. Let ethics, morals, and honor be your compass.

5. Heartfelt. When you do something for someone, or they do something for you, let your thanks and emotion be openly and outwardly expressed towards them.

6. Hearty. Be someone who displays an honest, warm, and exuberant personality to those around them. Let your feelings show and let them be genuine when they do.

7. Humility. Dont lead a life thinking you are better than others or are superior to those around you. Modesty and humbleness will leave a far more ever lasting impact on people than trying to show off.

8. Personal integrity. Always follow your heartfelt values, and never let a situation or anyone steer you away from doing what you know is right. Be someone that people can look up to and respect and not someone who trades his or her moral values for material gains in life.

9. Incorruptibility. Let it be known that you stand firm for what you believe in and that your morals, values and actions are not for sale. Dont let outside forces corrupt the person you are.

10.Sound. Show good judgment and sense in life. Dont let prejudices or emotions cloud your judgment.

11.Whole. Be focused on what you want to achieve in life. Give everyone you interact with your complete and undivided attention.

12.Courtesy. Practice good manners even though others around you may not.

13.Civility. Graciousness and respect go a long way in life. What is more, they are viral when people see you doing it they are more apt to practice civility themselves. Be kind to others and extend courtesy towards them. Dont interrupt people when they speak and dont dominate the conversation.

14.Wisdom. Gain from the wisdom that is inside you. Understand the inner qualities of people and learn how to understand situations that might be different than we are used to.

15.Charity. Practice kind, gentle, and compassionate treatment of others especially those who may be undeserving. Learn to extend a hand to help others, even though they themselves may not have helped you.

16.Empathy. Be aware that each person is different and may have different values and beliefs than those that you hold. Be understanding of the feelings and thoughts of others without having to be told or reminded of them. 17.Sympathy. Share your feelings with others and understand the emotional situations that people go through. Put yourself in their shoes.

18.Compassion. When someone is in distress, reach out with a genuine interest in helping alleviate their suffering.

19.Altruism. Think of others without thinking of yourself. Do good things for people without expecting something in return for yourself.

20.Magnanimous. Be generous in life. Give of your time, money and wisdom. Share with others so they can see the true joy and adventures of life.

CHAPTER 4

CHARLIE SPEAKS ABOUT NATURE The twittering of birds makes me happy. The trees growing make me happy and whatever good change in the environment takes place makes me happy. As a nature lover I desperately wanted to talk to animals. I wore my heart on my sleeve. I read poetry by Wordsworth and Rumi. I hugged trees. I thought birds sang love songs. I drew moral lessons from the life cycle

of a butterfly. I believed in magic in the enchanted forests. I took admonishments about having a relationship to nature seriously. I went out in nature. I communed with nature. I sought romance and adventure in nature. And I felt betrayed when my love wasn't returned if my heart didn't bleed my finger did. ("It bit me!") Nature lovers bash science. I recently read a book that promised to "help the reader explore and enhance the psychological and spiritual dimensions of your life." This was to be accomplished by "communing with nature." In such a pursuit, scientific inquiry is inadequate said the author. Furthermore, scientific inquiry may actually lead to "separation from nature." Imagine that. Like lovers everywhere, lovers of nature hang on to ignorance, fantasy, and mystery. Eventually, if they still care about the relationship, they have to deal with the hard work of intimacy. This requires, among other things, knowledge, patience and commitment. But lovers, as long as they can, seem to prefer mystery to enlightenment. The irony is that very passionate lovers of nature are often the well educated and the literary.

Nature lovers tend to think that nature has a benign protective attitude toward humans. When I was a nature lover I desperately wanted to talk to animals. I loved Native American stories where the animals talked and even rewarded humans for right behavior. Some animals were often characterized as not having my best interests at heart. So there was always, it seemed, a moral struggle in nature good against evil. Often morality in nature is expressed in terms like "kill or be killed", and "eat or be eaten." But in fact there is no either/or. It has always been kill and be killed; eat and be eaten.

CHAPTER 5 What is pollution? Pollution is the introduction of a contaminant into the environment. It is created mostly by human actions, but can also be a result of natural disasters. Pollution has a detrimental effect on any living organism in an environment, making it virtually impossible to sustain life.

This entire planet is our home. We are the only species that systematically destroy our own habitat."- Marianne Williamson "If we heal the earth, we heal ourselves."

Help stop pollution. Join the Earth Day celebration every April 22nd and consider making it an everyday practice for the rest of your earthly life. These given below are some reminders: 1. Stop smoking or at least follow the No Smoking sign. 2. Use unleaded gasoline in your cars. 3. Keep your car properly maintained to keep it in good running condition to avoid smoke emissions. 4. Share a ride or engage in car pooling. 5. Instead of using your cars, choose to walk or ride a bicycle whenever possible. With this eco-friendly practice, you will also be healthier and happier by staying fit. 6. Never use open fires to dispose of wastes. 7. Use eco-friendly or biodegradable materials instead of plastic which are made up of highly toxic substances injurious to your health. 8 Do not cause loud noises and unwanted sounds to avoid noise pollution. 9 Do not litter in public places. Anti-litter campaigns can educate the populace. 10 Industries should use fuel with lower Sulphur content. The pollutions which cause more problems are:

Air Pollution Air pollution is the accumulation of hazardous substances into the atmosphere that danger human life and other living matter. What are the sources of air pollution? Some of the main contributors to air pollution are:

Automobile emissions Tobacco smoke Combustion of coal Acid rain Noise pollution from cars and construction Power plants Manufacturing buildings Large ships Paint fumes Aerosol sprays Wildfires Nuclear weapons

Facts about Air Pollution Here are a few facts about air pollution:

Almost 232 million different types of vehicles are driven by U.S. citizens every day, adding greenhouse gases into the air

U.S. vehicle emissions contribute 45% to global warming The average adult consumes 3,000 gallons of polluted air every day Vehicle exhaust contributes to 60% of carbon monoxide emissions in the U.S. and up to 95% in large cities Every year 335,000 Americans die of lung cancer, which is a direct result of air pollution

How to Prevent Air Pollution The number one way to prevent air pollution is to walk or bike more and drive less. This will prevent fossil fuels from polluting the air. Here are some other ways to prevent air pollution:

Carpool or join a ride share with friends and coworkers Dont smoke Keep your car maintenance up-to-date If you have to drive, do your errands at one time Dont buy products that come in aerosol spray cans Avoid using lighter fluid when barbecuing outside When you drive accelerate slowly and use cruise control Always replace your cars air filter Use a push or electric lawnmower rather than a gaspowered one

Dont use harsh chemical cleaners that can emit fumes Inspect your gas appliances and heaters regularly

Water Pollution Water pollution is the introduction of chemical, biological and physical matter into large bodies of water that degrade the quality of life that lives in it and consumes it. What are the sources of water pollution? Some of the main contributors to water pollution are:

Factories Refineries Waste treatment facilities Mining Pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers Human sewage Oil spills Failing septic systems Soap from washing your car Oil and antifreeze leaking from cars Household chemicals Animal waste

Facts about Water Pollution

Here are a few facts about water pollution:

Over two-thirds of U.S. estuaries and bays are severely degraded because of nitrogen and phosphorous pollution Every year almost 25% of U.S. beaches are closed at least once because of water pollution Over 73 different kinds of pesticides have been found in the groundwater that we eventually use to drink 1.2 trillion gallons of sewage, stormwater and industrial waste are discharged into U.S. waters every year 40% of U.S. rivers are too polluted for aquatic life to survive Americans use over 2.2 billion pounds of pesticides every year, which eventually washes into our rivers and lakes

How to Prevent Water Pollution The best way to prevent water pollution is to not throw trash and other harmful chemicals into our water supplies. Here are a few more ways you can prevent water pollution:

Wash your car far away from any stormwater drains Dont throw trash, chemicals or solvents into sewer drains Inspect your septic system every 3-5 years

Avoid using pesticides and fertilizers that can run off into water systems Sweep your driveway instead of hosing it down Always pump your waste-holding tanks on your boat Use non-toxic cleaning materials Clean up oil and other liquid spills with kitty litter and sweet them up Dont wash paint brushes in the sink

Land Pollution Land pollution is pollution of the Earths natural land surface by industrial, commercial, domestic and agricultural activities. What are the sources of land pollution? Some of the main contributors to land pollution are:

Chemical and nuclear plants Industrial factories Oil refineries Human sewage Oil and antifreeze leaking from cars Mining Littering Overcrowded landfills Deforestation

Construction debris

Facts about Land Pollution Here are a few facts about land pollution:

Every year one American produces over 3285 pounds of hazardous waste Land pollution causes us to lose 24 billion tons of top soil every year Americans generate 30 billion foam cups, 220 million tires and 1.8 billion disposable diapers every year We throw away enough trash every day to fill 63,000 garbage trucks Every day Americans throw away 1 million bushels of litter out their car window Over 80% of items in landfills can be recycled, but theyre not

How to Prevent Land Pollution The best way to prevent land pollution is to recycle. Here are a few other ways you can reduce land pollution:

Reuse any items that you can Buy biodegradable products Store all liquid chemicals and waste in spill-proof containers Eat organic foods that are grown without pesticides

Dont use pesticides Use a drip tray to collect engine oil Buy products that have little packaging Dont dump motor oil on the ground

How can you get involved in pollution prevention? The best way for you to get involved with pollution prevention is to practice efforts on your own or join a project or program.

CHAPTER 6 AFTER 10 YEARS

After 10 years after his studies he got a job as an Environment Health advisor in which he will get 35 million $ per year. This is just one example where we get high salary and is helpful for the future and engineer and doctor is not only the option we have.
