Shabbat 29/12/5989 (22nd Mar 2012) Study Exo.20 (source:

http://www.arkdiscovery.com/mt__sinai_found.htm ) <The rock which flowed with water / Seraphim burning top of Mount Sinai^ *AKWAABA/WELCOME TO THE ROSH HA SHANNAH (NEW YEAR) ADDITION OF YESHURUN INTERNATIONAL. THIS IS THE TIME OF YEAR WHEN JEWS CELEBRATE LIBERTY FROM PHAROH, AND CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE LIBERTY FROM SIN AND DEATH. THERE IS ALWAYS A TIE BETWEEEN EGYPT AND THE WORLD, SO AS THE JEWISH PEOPLE CELEBRATE COMING OUT FROM SLAVERY, WE TOO CELEBRATE LEAVING THE HARLOT WHICH IS THE UNGODLY WORLD SYSTEM WE ALSO CALL THE WORLD.
Rev.18:4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her..

On the western or back side of the mountain is Rephidim where Moses and the Children of Israel first encamped before reaching Mt. Sinai. It was here that Moses struck the rock, above, which gushed forth large quantities of water. The giant 60 foot rock is on a 300 foot tall hill, and has obvious signs of water erosion, yet it is located in this desert region. The fissure in the rock is so large that you can walk easily through it. A square 20 foot altar is also at this site, which was built after the Children of Israel defeated the Amalakites. This territory covered "south of Judah and probably extended into northern Arabia" Britanica. Josephus said that Mt. Sinai "was the highest of mountains in the city of Madian" which is just outside the town of Al Bad. Jebel el Lawz is the highest mountain in the upper two thirds of the country. Also, Philo said Mt. Sinai was located east of the Sinai Peninsula and south of Palestine. Mr. Ron Wyatt is the original modern-day discoverer of the real Mount Sinai. The upper 200 feet of Jebel el Lawz is burned black, as we have seen in previous photos above. The Saudi Government will confiscate any photographs of the mountain and will not allow any tourists into the country, but U.S. Government satellite photos and a few private photos smuggled out of the country reveal the secret mountain by its unique blackened peak. Unlike the traditional site, there are thousands of acres in which to encamp at the base of this mountain, being visible from the mountain top.

Bible Texts Locate the Real Mount Sinai

"Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well" Ex. 2:15. Maps indicate Midian is near the border of the Gulf of Aqaba in Northwest Saudi Arabia, in the area shown on the map opposite. "And she [Zipporah] bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, "I have been a stranger in a foreign land" Ex. 2:22. Moses was in a different country, away from any Egyptians in Saudi Arabia. He could not have been in the Sinai Peninsula, as that area was Egyptian controlled territory, full of Egyptian mines and communication towers. Moses would have been easily captured in that area. "Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God" Ex. 3:1. Jethro lived in the vicinity of Mount Sinai. Jethro was the leader of the Midianites who were found in this area, "East of the Gulf of Aqaba in the northwestern regions of the Arabian Desert" Britanica. When researching the location of Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia that Mr. Wyatt proposed, I found two extremely detailed maps of Saudi Arabia. On BOTH maps I found the name "Jethro" next to the town of Al Bad, which is near Jebel el Lawz, the correct Mt. Sinai! Jethro was Moses' father-in-law as we saw in the texts above. He was from the town of Al Bad, according to the local people who live there today, which is only about 15 miles from Jebel el Lawz. The local people there today told Ron Wyatt that Jethro was from that area. "So He [God] said, 'I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain'" Exodus 3:12.

Moses was to bring the children of Israel from Egypt to this same mountain in Midian, near Jethro's home, in a foreign land. "For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia" Galatians 4:25. Here we are clearly told where the mountain should be located, in Arabia. But where is Arabia? "...It is bordered on the W. by the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea" Britanica. This clearly rules out the Sinai Peninsula, but it does include Saudi Arabia of course. "Then, at this saying, Moses fled and became a sojourner in the land of Midian, where he had two sons. And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai." Acts 7:29,30. All historically accurate maps, such as some produced by secular companies like National Geographic, show Midian in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, maps placed in Bibles by the publishers may have Midian in the Sinai Peninsula in order to fit tradition, but not the Bible or the historical record.

Above: The Real Sinai crossing (chariot wheels 1446BC / bones at sandbar of the crossing); the alter for the golden calf, and graffiti by the Israelites on the alter. Above center - A dozen giant boulders are stacked in the encampment area and reveal 12 ancient Egyptian petroglyphs of bulls. It is believed the golden calf was placed upon these rocks. Large altars are found to east/west sides of the mountain. Above left - 1Kings 9:26 & Isa 19:19 speak of the pillar as seen at the crossing side. After Mr Wyatt found this site in 1984, and visited it again a year later, the Saudi government erected a fence and a guard house preventing access to the Holy Precinct area at the foot of the mountain on the eastern side. The sign above states, "Archaeological area...unlawful to trespass, subject to penalty." When Ron and his two sons made their first trip into Saudi Arabia, they were accused of being spies and were held prisoner for two months, awaiting execution. After Ron helped to heal many sick prisoners, the authorities listened to his story and accompanied him to the column at the Saudi beach, then to Mt. Sinai. It was then they believed him, but they had to confiscate his photographs before letting him go.

FEASTING FOR FREEDOM - Understanding the Passover (Pesach) Season

When doing a Passover Seder, you are supposed to see yourself as if you are personally being redeemed from Egypt. Historically, the children of Israel were delivered from the bondage in Egypt (Mitzrayim) by putting the blood of a lamb upon the doorposts of their houses (Exodus [Shemot] 12:2,6,13). Spiritually, this is a picture of the Messiah Yeshua and how those who believe in Him are delivered from the bondages of sin and the rule of satan (Ha satan) in their lives. Yeshua is the Lamb of G-d (John [Yochanan] 1:29). Yeshua is also our Passover (Pesach) (1 Corinthians 5:7). Those who follow Yeshua are the house of G-d (Hebrews 3:6; 1 Peter [Kefa] 2:5). The doorposts are our hearts. It is only through trusting by faith (emunah) in the shed blood of Yeshua (Jesus), our Passover (Pesach), that we are free from the bondage of sin (Gal 4:3-5,9; 5:1; 2 Peter [Kefa] 2:19). This is because the blood of Yeshua redeems us from sin (Leviticus [Vayikra] 17:11; Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; 1 Peter [Kefa] 1:18-19; 1 John [Yochanan] 1:7; Rev. 1:5). Passover was at the beginning of months (Exodus [Shemot] 12:2). Spiritual Application (Halacha). Aviv is the first month of Gods calendar, and making cakes from Barley flour (the first harvest) is even a good anti-toxidant for our badies, as well as our souls. Receiving Yeshua into our lives is the beginning of a New Covenant (Brit Hadashah) relationship with G-d (Jeremiah [Yermiyahu] 31:31-33; John [Yochanan] 3:5-7; Romans 6:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:17). Passover is the first of the feasts. Likewise, repenting of our sins (teshuvah) and believing in the shed blood of Yeshua is our first step in our walk (halacha) with G-d. The Bread and Cups of the Passover Seder - During the celebration of Pesach, three cakes of unleavened bread (matzot) are placed one upon another, with a napkin between each cake. At a certain point in the Seder service, the middle cake, known as the afikomen, or "that which come after," is broken in two. One piece is distributed among the people present, and the larger piece is hidden in a napkin. Toward the end of the Passover Seder, the hidden portion is brought to light and eaten by those surrounding the Passover table. The Messianic understanding is that these three pieces of matzot represent G-d the Father, the Messiah Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh). The central piece, the afikomen, is broken, a portion is eaten, and the remainder hidden and then brought forth to testify of the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua. *During the course of the Seder, the four cups of wine that are served to the people present at the Seder are used in the following manner, and are called:

1. 2.

The cup of blessing (Luke 22:17; 1 Corinthians 10:16). This cup is called the cup of sanctification, or the Kiddush. The cup of wrath (Luke 22:42-44). This cup is not drunk, but is poured out on the table as the plagues of Egypt are recited. Yeshua drank of this cup for us in the Garden of Gethsemane and when He died on the tree.

3. 4.

The cup of blessing, salvation, or redemption. This cup is filled to overflowing, symbolizing an overflowing salvation (Psalm [Tehillim] 116:13). The cup of the kingdom (Luke 22:18,20; Matthew [Mattityahu] 26:28-29). Yeshua spoke of eating and drinking afresh in the Messianic age with His disciples after His resurrection.

In addition to the four cups of wine served to the people, another cup, called the cup of Elijah (Eliyahu), is also a part of the Seder. This cup is poured out at the end of the Seder. Only Elijah (Eliyahu) himself, or one coming in the spirit and power of Elijah, or the Messiah, was allowed to drink of this cup. When Yeshua referred to Himself drinking of this cup, He was saying in no uncertain terms that He was the Messiah. In Micah 7:15 it is written: According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvelous things. So let ( I AM THAT I AM) do the same for you through Yeshua! In Ezekiel ( Yechezekel ) 20:34-36 it is written: And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm [historical Passover language], and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt , so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God. In Exodus ( Shemot ) 13:8, it is commanded that you shall show your son "in that day [future] saying, This is done because of what the Lord did unto me [past] when I [personally] came forth out of Egypt." In 1st Corinthians 10:1-4, the apostle Paul ( Rav Sha'ul ) reminds the followers of Yeshua as Messiah to have the mindset that they and their fathers were redeemed from Egypt. In Exodus ( Shemot ) 15:1 it says, "I will sing " (future). This reminds us that there will be a future redemption that will be like the historical Egyptian redemption. Those redeemed in this future will sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb (Rev. 15:3).
