Topic: WHOLE NUMBERS Learning Outcomes Year 1
Learning Area: Numbers 0 to 10 Say the number names 1 to 9. Recognise numerals 1 to 9. Count a group of objects 1 to 9. Write numerals 1 to 9. Read number words one to nine. Write number words one to nine. Arrange numbers 1 to 9: (a) count on in ones. (b) count back in ones. Say the number names 0 and 10. Recognise 0 and 10 in counting. Count a group of objects to 10.

Learning Area: Numbers to 1000 Recognise numerals to 1000. Count up to 1000 objects by grouping them in hundreds, tens, fives, twos and ones. Write numerals to 1000. Read number words to one thousand. Write number words to one thousand. Recognise the place value of numbers.

Year 3
Learning Area: Numbers to 10 000 Say the number names to 10 000. Recognise numerals to 10 000. Count up to 10 000 objects by grouping them in thousands, hundreds and tens. Write numerals to 10 000. Read number words to 10 000. Write number words to 10 000. Recognise the place value of numbers.
