CCHQ 30 Millbank London SW1P 4DP Monday 11th February 2013

Dear Member, I have been appointed as Returning Officer for this years Conservative Future elections, and will be supervising all aspects of the election. Below this covering letter you will find a nomination form and notes relating to this ballot. To stand as an official candidate you will need to complete this nomination form and I must receive it by noon on Monday 25th February. The notes will give you guidelines relating to the ballot. If you have any additional questions you can contact me at alan.mabbutt@conservatives.com. The election this year will be carried out using an online voting system. All members of the Party, who have been members for more than 3 months, will receive an email with a link to the voting site. Do remember that if you are a member of a university Conservative society, that does not necessarily mean that you are a party member (you will need to check with your local association to confirm your membership of the party). You will be able to provide a profile which will be placed on the online voting site for voters to read. Other than that this will be the only way for you to officially communicate with the electorate, there will not be any official hustings. By putting yourself forward for a position on the National Executive, or as a Regional Chairman, we expect you to behave in a sensible, positive and responsible manner. I will investigate, and may take action, against any candidate that brings the organisation, or the party, into disrepute. As with all elections within the Conservative Party you may at some point be contacted by members of the press. This is an internal election, and as such, you should not make any comment, or statement, to any person from the press. If you are contacted please refer them to the CCHQ Press Office (020 7984 8121). I do hope that you decide to stand for one of the available positions and look forward to receiving your nomination form. Yours sincerely, Alan Mabbutt Returning Officer
