4 From the main menu, choose File > Select Files. 5 In the Select Files to Convert dialog box, locate
the folder containing the PageMaker publication or publications you want to convert.
6 Select the le or les you want to convert, and then click Select. To see a valid le without a .pm5,.pm6, .pt5, or .pt6 extension, choose All Files for Files of Type.
The publication(s) appear in the list box within the main Cross-Platform PageMaker Converter window. If you change your mind and do not want to convert a publication, select it and choose File > Remove Files.
7 Specify the folder where you want to save the converted publications. (Skip this step to store the converted publications in the same folder as the original publications.) Choose File > Save to Original to remove the checkmark and open the Choose Destination dialog box. Specify the folder and click Select.

The window displays the list of les selected and the status of the le conversion (a checkmark means the le converted successfully; an X means conversion was unsuccessful; a warning icon means conversion was successful, but with some problems). A progress indicator shows the progress of the conversions. The converter uses the same lename as the original, but adds the prex PC to differentiate it from the original Mac OS le (for example, the Mac OS lename Sample.pmd will convert to PC Sample.pmd).

during one session, choose View > Log or click the on the toolbar to open the XPMConv.log le. You can then click the Save or Print button if you want a more permanent record of the information, or click OK to close the View Log dialog box.
11 When you are nished, choose File > Exit.

We recommend that you open the Table le in Adobe Table for Windows, reassign fonts, and re-import the table into the converted publication.
Libraries You cannot open an object library from the Library palette on a platform other than the one on which it was created.
Management System, which supports placement of Photo CD images in PageMaker, changed with version 6.5 of PageMaker. To get accurate color onscreen or in print, you must relink to the image after youve converted the publication to Windows. Be sure the computer you are moving to has access to a network where the image can be stored, or is equipped with a CD-ROM drive.
