Description Controlling of CBD position The parameters that are used to control the CBD position are specific conductivity of boiler water. The control value is 1.5 uS/Cm will represent the opening of CBD is 6 turn. Should there is trend of increasing specific conductivity, then CBD will be fully opened. Should there is trend of decreasing specific conductivity, then the below value will be used as guidance: US/Cm Opening of CBD 1.1 4 turns > 1.1 3 turns 0.5 2 turns Dosing of ammonia and hydrazine There are three chemical pumps: hydrazine DA pump, ammonia pump, and common pump.Inlet All of pump could inject the chemicals to DA inlet, suction of water feed pump, and CCW. The local switch should be placed on auto. It means that pump will be controlled from controller whether in automatic or manual. The automatic dosing of hydrazin and ammonia will be carried out ONLY when the plant has been on load at the DA inlet. The set point of ammonia dosing (automatic mode) are used DA specific conductivity value: PH Set Point < 9 13 US/Cm > 9.2 10 11 US/Cm The set point of hydrazine dosing (automatic mode) are used the value of dissolved oxygen at economiser inlet i.e. 58 ppb Rotameter All of rotameter at sampling panel should be closed, whenever the plant is shut down. It will prevent air influence the probe on next operation. Start up of boiler Operate the CPP with minimum flow valve opened. The quality of condensate will reach the below specification: Specific cond. of condensate 0.8 1.5 US/Cm Cation conductivity of condensate 0.4 0.6 US/Cm PH of CPP outlet 7 - 8 When firing of boiler is started, there will be an indication of decreasing the specific conductivity of DA inlet, and also economiser inlet i.e 8-10 uS/Cm. When the specific conductivity of hot reheat steam reach 10 11 uS/Cm, then the injection of ammonia and hydrazine will be carried out with output 10% and 20-25% respectively at suction of feed water pump. That injection should be done, whenever the minimum flow valve is opened. Should the minimum flow valve is closed, then the dosing of ammonia and hydrazine will be carriedt out at the DA inlet with out put 45% for ammonia and 20% for hydrazine.
