Questionnaire results

My name is Suhayl; I decided to conduct a questionnaire to give to members of my target audience in which I will be able to receive feedback to improve my magazine. I printed off ten copies and distributed them to males and females as my music magazine was aimed at both.

As you can see, my results from this question suggests that my magazine has a good colour scheme as it is mostly rated 8/10 which is a good result however there are still some aspects of the colour scheme of the entire magazine that can still be improved to make my magazine look more professional.

The results from this question suggests that most people would buy my magazine which means it would be really successful however the 10% that didnt agree commented that they normally dont buy magazines so its not applicable.

The results from this question denotes that what most people (target audience) find appealing is the cover lines which is important however this means I need to make slight changes to the rest for a better outcome.

4. What could be done to improve the front cover? How?

The results from this question suggested that I should change the layout of my front covers, some examples included changing the where the cover lines were placed and the masthead (title) so everything can stand out more

The results from this question in particular denoted how most of target audience who answered the questionnaire (50%) rated the cover image a 7/10 only problem being that the style of clothes his wearing should change and the pose should be more exciting, if this is changed it would make the cover image of my artist my eye catching.

6. Can the cover image be improved? If so how?

As stated before the only problems wear that I should change the clothing style of my artist to make it more related to hip hop and change the style of his pose to make the front cover look more exciting this way it would engage with the audience while catching their attention.

The results from this question denoted that 70% of people believed that my layout of the contents page was good, this is important as the contents page is wear the target audience read to find out more information about whats included in the magazine so the layout needs to be clear and understandable.

8. What do you think are the strengths of the contents page? Please give detail.

Everyone basically commented the same thing on what the strengths of the contents page was, which is the fact that its very simple and easy to read. This is very important because this page holds a lot of information about the magazine so the clearer it is the better for the customer.

9. What do you think are the weaknesses of the contents page? Please give detail.
Everyone also commented saying similar weaknesses of the contents page which mainly included that I lacked a lot of information and my contents page was too simple as some parts of the page was blanks so that needed to be filled.

The results from this question suggests that 90% of the people whom I gave the questionnaire to believe the layout of my double spread being good which is excellent for the magazine as the article includes a lot of information so if the layout is good, the text would be easy to understand and it would stand out

10. What do you think of the background image used in the Double Page spread?
Everyone suggested that the background image used of my artist leaning on a brick wall in the double page spread was a good idea as it allowed the text to stand out and the picture itself was really eye catching so its able to draw the target audience in.

12. is there anything in particular you like about the Double Page Spread?
Background image is what everyone commented explaining that it was really eye catching and the colour of it contrasted with the information to make it stand out.

13. Can the Double Page spread be improved? If so how? The results suggested that I needed to add slightly more information on my magazine

The results as showed on the graph suggested that 60% rated the magazine on professionalism an 8/10 which is good but not perfect. So some aspects of the magazine made it look professional like the colour however other aspects would still need change.

Overall I finished with a question asking my target audience if this magazine would be able to compete with existing music magazines such as XXL or Vibe. 90% of them marked yes which means it would be able to compete with the magazine/music industry which is great, this meant that if it were to be published it would be successful however 10% believed it wouldnt be able which also meant I needed some changes to make it 100% successful.
