If Google ever made a list of the most researched topics on their search engine, my bet would be on Globalization.

So what is this vague topic that has the whole world talking about it? The fact that there is no one universal definition to globalization, allows it to be categorized as vague. To me Globalization would be the interconnection of various man made divisions of the world called nations, in to a more global set up. Countries without borders would automatically develop exchange of various cultures. Globalization could be the exchange of political and economic views between nations. According, to Steger globalization is a contested concept or a phenomenon that can change according to ones personal experience of it. Globalization according to me is the best thing that has happened to us. But what has been a key factor to the birth of globalization and how? Global economic, political, cultural and environmental interconnections are made through advances in technologies such a communication satellites .Advances in technologies such as this makes many borders irrelevant and lead to the birth of globalization (Steger). My essay would also touch upon a few questions of the critics and skeptics against globalization. I would like to argue whether globalization has increased or decreased inequality in developing countries such as India and China. India and China have been erupting as one of the fastest growing economies in the world. China has been growing at 9.5 percent and India at 6.3 percent yearly (mahtaney). Globalization has had a big role to play in the growth of nations such as these. How Globalization helped in the growth of the two Asian giants? In spite of China being a growing economy, its government being communist still has control over the censorship of internet sites including online press to its citizens. India being a traditional country, the role of the government in media control.
