Estimados lectores de la revista digital Celestial Nor, Este mes se celebra Navidad, Ao Nuevo y Reyes Magos, por tal motivo les quiero desear felices fiestas y recordarles el verdadero motivo de la natividad, que es el nacimiento de Jesucristo. Les invito a compartir la historia de su nacimiento hasta toda su vida como adulto. Les invito a leer las ancdotas de Federico El Dramaturgo, un joven que estuvo en el mundo vicioso de la calle, el alcohol y las drogas; y como Cristo lo rescat y le da una mejor vida. Aad un articulo en la seccin sexual que es un poco fuerte y explicito, me disculpo si a cualquier persona le pueda ofender. La intencin es concienciar a la gente sobre este tema que pocos saben y si es posible se unan a organizaciones que ayudan a las mujeres que pasan por ese tipo de abuso, tambin para que lo tengan presentes en sus oraciones. Ideas y sugerencias para compartir el amor, la misericordia y la salvacin de Dios a travs de Jesucristo. Antes de hacer alguna o todas las ideas, primeramente ten un tiempo de comunicacin con Cristo para que te ilumine, muestre su voluntad y gue en cada paso. Como son fechas que se celebran Navidad, Ao Nuevo y Reyes Magos, lo dedicaremos para extender un gesto genuino, mostrando respeto, dignidad e igualdad; tambin mostrar el verdadero significado de la natividad.
Escoge a una persona sin techo que encuentres por la calle pidiendo. No le des monedas, ni un pan. Mralo a los ojos sin lastima, pero con cario; sin pena, pero con igualdad y dignidad. En ese momento invita a esa persona sin techo a comer a un restaurante (desde comida rpida a lo que puedas con tu presupuesto). Trtalo como si fuese una persona conocida que invitas para compartir un tiempo juntos; rompe el hielo hablando un poco de ti, de temas en general, de Dios hasta que poco a poco esa persona pueda abrirse y hablar de sus pensamientos y situacin; dependiendo de la comunicacin, trata de orar internamente y de pedirle a Jehov discernimiento para poder ayudarle a mejorar su estado y a resolver sus problemas; el resto de la historia depender de Dios, de ti y de esa persona. (Tambin puedes hacerlo con tu pareja, alguna amistad o grupo de poca gente tres personas mximo) Escoge a un nio, nia o varios, de poco recurso econmico, averigua con la familia cuales son sus necesidades y escoge uno o varios regalos que puedan ser tiles. Si es posible aadir una Biblia infantil o Libro de historias bblicas. Escoge a una cajera, dependienta, camarera, vendedora ambulante o cualquier persona que Dios ponga en tu corazn y dale una tarjeta con un regalo, pdele a Jesucristo que te de sugerencias. Escoge a una persona enferma en el hospital o una persona de la tercera edad en una residencia de ancianos. Dedcale tu tiempo y dale una tarjeta con un regalo, pdele a Cristo propuestas de obsequios. (Tambin puedes cantar villancicos!) Puede que ya no te quede dinero para comprar regalos para tus hijos, familiares y seres queridos. A ellos dales algo mas que regalos tangibles; dales experiencias nicas, un viaje, un tesoro, una leccin, una dedicacin o un legado..

Jess, el hijo de Dios que baj a la tierra para encontrarse con los hombres en las calles polvorientas; Jess, quien es todo odo para el pecador arrepentido, dolorido; Jess, que est vivo en la sonrisa de un nio, en la risa de un anciano, en la abeja que liba la miel, en el arcoris, en las gotas de roco, en las flores, en las mariposas, en los colibres, en la persona que realiza una buena accin movida por la fuerza del corazn, la fuerza del amor. Jess, que canta a los hombres a travs de la cancin de los pjaros; Jess, el roble que tiene sus races en el cielo, pero cuyas ramas se extienden hasta la Tierra y dan sombra y cobijo a sus habitantes; Jess, un amigo fiel al que muchas veces hemos hecho esperar demasiado. Jess es tambin protagonista de la Historia: no es por casualidad, o por mero capricho, que sta se divida en antes de Cristo y despus de Cristo. Jess tiene tambin en su nombre la S de la Sabidura que viene de arriba, que es lo que l puede y quiere darnos, ya que l sali del seno del Padre (Evangelio de Juan 16, 17-18). Jess tiene tambin en su nombre la U de la Unidad, que es lo que debe tener su Iglesia y su reino para poder luchar contra los poderes del mal, contra las fuerzas de la oscuridad, contra la dictadura del egosmo, de la indiferencia, de la injusticia, del odio, de la mentira, de la maldad, de la cultura de la muerte en este mundo. Y para derrotar a la cultura de la muerte, en este mundo, Jess no necesita cargar un fusil, ni formar una guerrilla, ni tiene que incitar a sus seguidores a cometer atentados terroristas. Lo que busca Jess es la violencia de la oracin en el interior del corazn humano, violencia entendida como un fuego sagrado, como una transformacin de la raz de las personas, porque es all, adentro y no afuera, donde se asegura que se den los cambios necesarios en el mundo. Primero es adentro, despus es afuera. Jess tiene tambin en su nombre otra S que es la de la Salvacin es lo que l quiere darnos, la salvacin que es para todos los hombres, sin distingos de raza, credo o color, estatus o posicin social. Antonio Soto Carmona: La vocacin, la cabezonera y la pasin. Siempre he sabido que posea este don, pero eso no sirve de nada si no lo ejercitas. ASC: Indistintamente. Me gusta la poesa y a veces de una surge la imagen para un retrato y otras veces al revs. Es algo espontneo. CN: Cmo fue tu encuentro personal con Cristo? ASC: Mi hermana me pregunt en una ocasin si crea en Dios. Habra sido sencillo decir que no y pasar del tema, pero me lo plante seriamente y no pude decir que no. Estaba estudiando Bellas Artes en Bilbao y all conoc una comunidad que se reuna cada martes para orar. Fue tras una de esas reuniones cuando me acerque al pastor Juan Waris y le dije que quera entregar mi vida a Dios. Pocos das antes haba descubierto que s crea en Jesucristo y que adems le necesitaba.

CN: Qu te motiva a hacer talleres infantiles en escuelas y hablar sobre la sensibilizacin de los derechos infantiles? ASC: Me motiva pensar que el arte es capaz de transformar, de dar una visin diferente a la habitual y que los nios son capaces de entender y aprovechar en su desarrollo lo que aprenden de una manera original. Pero no son talleres orientados especialmente al pblico infantil, sino que estn pensados para cualquiera que halla descubierto o no su creatividad. CN: Puedes hablarnos sobre tu coleccin Besos de Colores? ASC: Fue una hermosa experiencia desarrollada en el CEIP Miguel de Cervantes de Montemayor. A los nios de 5 y 6 de primaria se les di una charla sobre la violencia y el terrorismo. Se les habl del atentado del once de mayo y conseguimos que la Asociacin 11M viniera al colegio representada por su presidenta Pilar Manjn. Le regalamos un cuadro pintado por m y que usaba como fondo los besos en colores de los 80 nios que haban participado. CN: Cmo te conectasteis a la labor de la ONG Ensimision que desarrolla el trabajo mdico en Burkina Faso? ASC: No recuerdo muy bien cmo fue el primer contacto; pero s con qu pasin y emocin me relataron su experiencia en ese pas. Tanto ngel Olmo como Abigail Snchez me cautivaron. Me gustara poder colaborar ms con ellos. Creo que la exposicin de los Nadies es apropiada para realizar una labor de sensibilizacin y que diferentes ONGs podran contar con ella. CN: Cmo colaboras con causas solidarias y con cuales ONG's? ASC: He colaborado con diferentes organizaciones no gubernamentales y fundaciones sociales como Stop The Traffic y Pobreza Cero. Tambin DT Project, creo que la labor que est haciendo David Tapia, ahora a travs del trabajo Historias de un Sueo es excepcional. Con Esclavitud XXI he colaborado pero me gustara ahora con la exposicin de Los Nadies poder estrechar ms mis lazos. Adems he realizado talleres para la Fundacin Arco Iris en Crdoba que es un centro de menores y una labor de sensibilizacin con el centro de discapacitados ADISULIA en Montemayor. La verdad es que el deseo de trabajar con estas asociaciones est ah, pero en muchas ocasiones el impedimento es el tema econmico y ms en estos tiempos. Aparte del dinero est el desnimo, la impotencia de ver que mucho por lo que has Celestial luchado hasta ahora se viene abajo por falta de recursos. Pero no podemos basar todo nuestro trabajo en una cultura de subvenciones. Hay mucha gente que quiere colaborar, hacer algo y debemos buscar apoyo en esa sociedad que poco a poco sale de la resignacin. CN: Cuales son tus otras funciones? ASC: Soy asesor-artista de los Grupos Bblicos. La funcin es mostrar mi trabajo en el mbito de la universidad. Creo que el trabajo que est realizando GBU a travs de los estudiantes es digno de mencin. A m me anima ver el nimo de los estudiantes en un entorno nada propicio.
CN: Dnde y cundo sern tus prximos compromisos artsticos? ASC: Mi prxima exposicin se inaugurar el 23 de Febrero en el Centro Andaluz y en la Iglesia Bautista de Sabadell. Luego viajara a Barcelona. No s an las fechas concretas. CN: Quieres enviarle un mensaje a los lectores de la revista Celestial Nor? ASC: Que cuiden de los artistas. Que valoren el arte no en un sentido utilitarista, sino porque forma parte de la creacin, y que el arte no es una opcin sino algo que forma parte de nosotros mismos y sin l estamos incompletos. www.antoniosoto.org

Es interesante ponerse a pensar acerca de lo vital que es conservar esa fuente de vida y de inspiracin llamada Madre Natura, la Naturaleza. A ella le tom miles de millones de aos en llegar a su estado actual tan evolucionado. Pas por mltiples transformaciones que se fueron dando muy paulatinamente. Pero resulta que esos miles de millones de aos, en la actualidad, se ven seriamente amenazados por hechos como la contaminacin ambiental, la deforestacin de los bosques y el recalentamiento del planeta, los cuales se estn llevando a cabo de manera muy perjudicial para nosotros. Segn estudios que se han hecho en torno a la problemtica, se dice que de continuar el acelerado y despiadado ritmo de destruccin de los bosques y reas de importancia en cuanto a la biodiversidad, ya para el ao 2040 o quizs mucho antes, no queden extensas reas verdes, los llamados pulmones de la Tierra, lo cual sera catastrfico y muy difcil de revertir. Estaramos ante lo que podra ser el fin de este planeta que conocemos (Lucas 21, 10-11).

Tambin es importante que en esa educacin ambiental se resalte el papel que tiene cada ser vivo, cada forma de vida y su comunicacin con las otras partes del engranaje de la vida (Sabidura 7, 17-21), de modo que se logre construir lo que tanta falta nos hace en estos tiempos, la conciencia ecolgica, la conciencia verde, la conciencia del maana. Adems, cada nio, cada joven, debera tener la oportunidad de plantar un rbol, de manera que sea un aporte para su medio ambiente. Aunado a esto, en todos los pases del mundo debera tenerse conciencia de la importancia del reciclaje, la importancia de clasificar la basura segn el tipo de materiales que contenga. Eso, entre otras medidas. Est claro que se han tomado medidas hasta ahora, pero nunca es suficiente cuando se trata de conservar el planeta para las generaciones futuras, para que ellas tambin tengan la oportunidad de vivir una vida plena en esta Tierra. Slo as venceremos y lograremos darle un vuelco a la creciente destruccin y as tambin evitaremos que se implante una marca mundial negativa que es la siguiente: la destruccin y el aniquilamiento, en apenas unos cientos de aos, o en algunas dcadas, de todo lo que a la Naturaleza le tom millones de aos en construir y formar. Desde que se produjo la Revolucin Industrial (segunda mitad del siglo XVIII y principios del XIX), se ha avanzado mucho en cuanto a produccin de bienes y servicios para abastecer y satisfacer las necesidades de las grandes masas de los centros urbanos, pero tambin ha ocurrido un considerable y peligroso aumento en la atmsfera del nivel del CO2, el dixido de carbono. Esto es grave porque puede generar y, de hecho est generando, el recalentamiento del planeta. Lo anterior es la causa de desajustes en el efecto de invernadero, que vendra siendo el sistema de regulacin de temperatura de la Tierra. Y una cosa lleva a la otra, ese aumento de la temperatura del planeta est haciendo que se derrita el hielo de los polos, y con eso aumente el nivel del mar, lo cual significa que muchas islas y pases que hoy conocemos podran desaparecer de la Tierra, ahogados por las aguas que van ganado terreno. Entonces ante la problemtica actual, es justo empezar a tomar cartas en el asunto. Pero en qu forma? Antes que cualquier otra cosa, lo ms conveniente es impartir a los nios y jvenes una autntica educacin ambiental, que toque y mueva las fibras de la conciencia, que haga que cada persona se d cuenta, valore y entienda, a plenitud, que conservar los recursos naturales y el planeta es garantizar y respaldar la vida.

Tal vez este hijo no entenda nada entonces, pero ahora sabe que l no tiene otra madre. No es madre la que te engendra, madre es la que te da vida, amor y eso lo comprende perfectamente. En nuestro corazn, como un tic-tac, el corazn de la tierra, el de la vida misma. Aprendo de ti, de m misma, de los dos corazones que forman nuestras vidas, unidos en una misma direccin, en un mismo misterio, el amor. Puedo seguir ese tic-tac que se desprender de m para ayudarte a formar tu vida. Te amo, quiero lo mejor para ti. Lo que has ledo es el corazn de una dama desconocida, a pesar de haber sobrevivido en solitario los infortunios de la vida, ella no ha dejado que esto sea un impedimento para amar con todo su corazn. Esta dama desconocida es la madre que a todos nos hubiera gustado tener, dispuesta a todo por darnos lo que ms necesitamos. Su papel en esta vida es criar, educar y sacar adelante, ella sola, a su querido hijo hay algo ms admirable que esto?
