PLANNING INFORMATION: EFFECTIVITY: All Model 250 Power and Accessory Gearbox Assemblies prior to the following serial numbers: Engine Model 250-Cl8 250-C20 250-C20B Series Gearbox Serial No. CAG 23599B CAG 38180 CAG 33229 (except CAG 33223, 33226 and 33227) CAG 50100 CAG 60060 CAG 80180

250-B15G 250-B17 250-B17B REASON:

To eliminate a possible stack interference between the oil pump cover and gearbox housing during reassembly. Existing P/N 6853444 Oil Pump Covers may be reworked by adding ~0.100 in. x 45 chamfer defined by the 0.720 in. radius from the center of the oil pump spur gearshaft hole. (See Figure 1.) Also, sharp edges are blended in an adjacent area.

OIL PUMP COVER--REWORK

INSTRUCTIONS:

Existing P/N 6853444 Oil Pump Cover may be reworked to eliminate a possible stack interference with gearbox housing. A. B. C. In Section A-A (Figure 1) add 0.100 in. x 45 chamfer to the edge defined by the 0.720 in. radius. Blend in the adjacent area shown in Figure 1 to remove sharp edges. Reidentify reworked oil pump covers by vibro peening the suffix F to the cover part number per AS 478CL-Dl or 2E.
