All 250-C20, C20B, 817, and B17B Bleed Valve Assemblies--inspect and comply as required. The bleed valve retainer plate can interfere with the valve diaphragm when normal wear of the valve stem and/or its bushing permit the valve to cock slightly (Figure 1). This can occur on overhauled units rebuilt with worn but serviceable valve stems and bushings. Interference between the valve retainer plate and diaphragm may be eliminated by decreasing the OD of the retainer plate. Not affected. It is recommended t,hat this bulletin be accomplished no later than next overhaul. FAA-DER Approved

Rework P/N 6876740 Bleed Valve Retainer Plates; by reducing the OD per Figure 2. Reidentify reworked plates by adding the suffix A to the plate part number per AS478CL-D. Record compliance with 250-C20/C20B CEB-1107 or B17/B17B TP CEB-1077 in the Compressor Assembly (blue pages) Modification Record Part III of the Engine Log Book.
