Metric Seamless Tube

in steel, zinc-plated steel & stainless steel

a wide variety of metric fittings,
tooling and tube. Our seamless
tube, in 6-meter standard length,
is available with a phosphate coating,
zinc plating or in stainless steel,
depending on your need.

The phosphate-coated steel tube is

typically used in general hydraulic
applications where exposure to a
corrosive environment is not a major
concern or where the tube lines are
painted after installation. Once oil is
washed away from the surface, the
phosphate coating serves as a good
base for paint adhesion.
The zinc-plated steel tube is typically
used in situations where more corrosion
protection is required, but without the need for painting. The stainless
steel tube is used in applications where severe corrosives may be present.
Except for the zinc-plated steel, all Parker Hannifin steel tubes can be
welded by usual methods. The zinc-plated steel tube should not be
welded due to the dangerous fumes that can be emitted when heated.
The stainless steel tube, though, is suitable for arc welding. The welding
filler should be selected in accordance with DIN 8556 Part 1, taking into
account the type of application and the welding technique.

Seamless Carbon Steel Tube

Material: St. 37.4 fine-grain quality per DIN 1630
Tensile Strength: 340 N/mm2 (49,000 lb/in2) minimum
Yield Strength: 235 N/mm2 (34,000 lb/in2) minimum
% Elongation: 25% minimum
Condition: Seamless, cold drawn, annealed (NBK) per DIN 2391C Part 2
Surface Finish: Tubes with inside diameter of 1.5 to 5 mm outside and
inside oiled
Tubes with 6 mm and greater inside diameter outside and
inside phosphate and oiled
Example of Part Number: R25X2 where R indicates tube, 25 = outside
diameter (mm), and 2 = wall thickness (mm)

Seamless Carbon Steel Tube with Zinc Plating

Material: St. 37.4 fine-grain quality per DIN 1630
Tensile Strength: 340 N/mm2 (49,000 lb/in2) minimum
Yield Strength: 235 N/mm2 (34,000 lb/in2) minimum
% Elongation: 25% minimum
Condition: Seamless, cold drawn, annealed (NBK) per DIN 2391C Part 2
Surface Finish: Outside surface zinc plated (8-12 m) and yellow chromate
inside surface oiled
Example of Part Number: R25X2VZ where R indicates tube, 25 = outside
diameter (mm), 2 = wall thickness (mm), and VZ
indicates zinc with yellow chromate

Seamless Stainless Steel Tube

Material: 1.4571 (X6CrNiMoTi17122)
Tensile Strength: 500 N/mm2 (72,500 lb/in2) minimum
Yield Strength: 245 N/mm2 (35,500 lb/in2) minimum
% Elongation: 35% minimum
Condition: Seamless, cold drawn, free of scale, heat-treated in accordance
with DIN 17458 Table 6
Example of Part Number: R25X271 where R indicates tube, 25 = outside
diameter (mm), 2 = wall thickness (mm), and
71 indicates 1.4571 stainless steel
