Selecta unit modifier ('") for anypartofan entry. Entrieswith unitmodifiers are interpreted accordingly,
overriding the Anglemode. To convert an entry: Set the Angle mode to the unityou want to convert to. Then use a unitmodifier to designate the unitto convert from. (Anglesof trigonometric functions convert values insideparentheses first.), or Select DMS, which convertsan entryto DMS ('")
Notation.

Themostrecently calculated result is stored tothevariable Ans. Ans is retainedin memory, even afterthe TI-30X n is
turned off. To recall the value of Ans:

Press [2nd] [ans](Ansdisplays on thescreen), or Press any operations key(L), Q, PvJO, etc.)as thefirst part of an entry. Ans and the operatorare bothdisplayed.

Order of Operations
The TI-30XII uses EOST

(Equation Operating System)to

evaluate expressions. 1st Expressions inside parentheses. 2nd Functions that need a) and precede the argument, such as sin, log, and all R<-P menu items.

Trigonometry

Thedisplay, pending operations, settings, and memory are retained. 2-LineDisplay: The firstline(Entry Line) displays an entry ofupto 88 digits (or47 digits forStat or ConstantEntry Line). Entriesbegin on the left; those withmore than 11 digits scroll to the right. Press and0 toscroll the line. Press [2nd] 0 or [2nd] 0 to movethe cursorimmediately to the beginning or end ofthe entry. The secondline (Result Line)displaysa resultofup to 10 digits, plus a decimalpoint,a negative sign, a "x10" indicator, and a 2-digit positiveor negative exponent. Results thatexceed the digit limit are displayed in Scientific
Notation.
