SubscriberswouldhaveeasyaccesstotelevotingviaSMS/USSD/IVR,whichare
easytouse.Thisbringsmultifoldbenefitstotheoperatorandsubscribers.
Operatorscouldchargeanominalfeefortheaccessthatbringsadditionalrevenue
andhelpsoverallARPUmovingup.
Subscribersuseitasameanforentertainmentandtoexpressthemselves,which
resultsinenhancedcustomersatisfaction.

Subscribercanvote/participateforacampaignviadifferentlikeIVR,SMSand
USSD.
ThissectionwoulddetailtheaccesschannelsforTelevotingApplication.

Subscriberwouldbeabletovote/participateviaIVRchannelbycallingapre
definednumber.Subscribercancalleitheragenericnumber,whichprovidesthelist
ofallthecampaignsorcancallaspecificnumberdesignatedforaparticular
campaign.

Genericnumber
Genericnumberoptionwouldallowsubscribertoaccessallcampaignsactiveat
thatpointoftime.Subscriberneedknowgenericnumberthatgivesaccesstoall
campaigns.
Whenmorethanonecampaignisactive,subscribercanstillaccessbothcampaigns
bydiallinggenericservicenumber.
Whenthesubscribercallsthegenericnumberforvoting,theapplicationwould
executethebelowmentionedcallflow:

Applicationwouldaskthesubscribertoselectthepreferredlanguage

Subscriberwouldbeabletoparticipateinthecampaign/votebymeansofSMS.
SubscriberscouldvoteinaspecificeventbysendingSMStoaparticularshortcode
withpredefinedkeywords.
Subscribercansendtheirvoteforaparticularcampaignbysendingthecodeofthe
campaignfollowedbytheoptiontoapredefinedshortcode.
Itsalsopossibletoassociateaparticularcampaignwithashortcode.Inthiscase
subscribercansendtheirvoteoptiondirectlywithoutspecifyingthecampaign
code.
EntriesorresponsessentbysubscribersviaSMSareacknowledgedandaresponse
messageissentbySMS.

USSDChannel
Subscriberwouldbeabletoparticipateinthecampaign/votebymeansofUSSD.
SubscriberscouldvoteinaspecificeventbydiallingaparticularUSSDstring.
Subscribercouldparticipateinaparticularcampaignbydiallingaspecificshort
numberwithouthavingtoprovideadditionalinformationintherequest.
Allsubscriberresponsesarerespondedwithaacknowledgement/confirmation
messageviaUSSD.

USSDServer/GWtobeprovidedbytheoperatoranditisnotpartofthesolution
offering.

TelevotingapplicationprovidesWebaccessforoperatorssubscriberstoparticipate
intheevents.Linktothisapplicationcouldbehostedattheoperatorwebsite.
ForauthenticationofsubscribersoverWeb,existingregistration/authentication
optionsofWebPortalorsuchapplicationscouldbereused.Thisway,subscriber
neednotregisterandrememberuserid/passwordspecifictotelevoting
application.
Specificintegrationsforthispurposecouldbediscussedduringsystemrequirement
specificationphaseoftheproject.

Variousreportscanbegeneratedbyadministratorformonitoringthecampaigns
listedinthesystem.Allthesereportswouldbeavailableintabularformatandcan

Abovereportscanbefilteredbasedonstartandenddates.
