First and foremost, the researchers offer their sincerest thanks to Almighty God for His divine guidance to the researchers during those times when the researchers are about to give up during the creation of this capstone project truly created an impact to the researchers and made them go on and give their best.

The researchers would like to thank Ms. Jane Kristine Suarez (Capstone Project Instructor) for her direction, assistance, and guidance. Ms. Janes recommendations and suggestions have been invaluable for the researchers capstone project development and self-improvement.

Thanks are also due to Mrs. Rosemarie M. Bautista (Capstone Project Adviser) for tirelessly entertaining our questions and giving us sensible opinions regarding the system and documentation.

Finally, words alone cannot express the thanks that researchers owe to the parents of the researchers for their undying support, understanding, encouragement and assistance especially those times when the researchers conduct overnight sessions to finish this project paper and on the financial side.

Abstract

Information system is one of the most common systems every researcher chooses to develop, mainly for its simplicity and its generic form and functionality. Problems concerning data security would be the problems in the current state of technology of the client. That is why the researchers decided to develop an information system designed for the needs of the clientele, Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School Guidance Office. The researchers conceptualized on the design and functionality of the system, like choosing an appropriate programming language and database software. Diagrams such as database schema, ERD, DFD, context diagram, and program flowchart were also created and implemented.

The system can record the students transaction with the Guidance Office in terms of online counseling. The system was evaluated to see if it is good enough to be implemented by the client. The evaluators consist of twelve people: five end users, one capstone project instructor, one capstone project adviser, and five IT Experts. In relation to that, the system was evaluated and got a total mean score of 4.48 which is equivalent to a rating of Very Good.

After a series of system evaluations, the proponents concluded that the proposed system concurs to the specific objectives pointed out in this capstone project, recommending additional functionalities in the proposed system for future researchers to work on.
