Abstract

This article serves as the template of abstract (single page) for all papers submitted to the 10th Hokkaido Indonesia Student Association Scientific Meeting (HISAS 10). Abstracts will be sent for review. The acceptance of the submitted paper and the format of its presentation at the conference will be evaluated based on the comments of the reviewers and the preference of the authors. The abstract of accepted papers will be published in the Book of Abstracts in black and white. Please use this template when preparing your abstract. This will ensure a uniform format in the publication. Abstracts should be written in English and submitted to both of PDF and MS Word format. A onepage abstract should include a Tiltle, the information of Authors and Affiliations, the E-mail address of Corresponding Author, Keywords, and the Abstract. Throughout the abstract, use Times New Roman font with single spacing between lines. The recommended font size is 14 pts for the paper title and 11 pts elsewhere. The main text should be justified on both sides. The use of footnotes is discouraged. Other specific guidelines for each section are given below. 1. Title: Please provide a descriptive title of the paper. The title should be concise and not span more than 2 lines. Use Times New Roman font with a font size of 14 pts and in boldface for the title. 2. Authors and Affiliations: Include the first name, middle initial and surnames of all the authors. The name of the corresponding author should be underlined. The affiliations of all the authors should be included. The e-mail of the corresponding author should be shown. 3. Abstract: Use Times New Roman font with a font size of 11 pts for the abstract. The main text should be justified on both sides. 4. Keywords: Provide up to 6 keywords, separated by semi-colons. 5. The full paper could be submitted through online submission: http://hisas10.ppihokkaido.org, on later than January 6, 2013 Keywords: Abstract; Acceptance ; Forward; International ; Submitted; Template; 1. Introduction The manuscript should begin with a one-page abstract providing the Title, the information of Authors and Affiliations, the E-mail address of Corresponding Author, Keywords, and the Abstract. The subsequent pages should include numbered sessions of Introduction, Theory/Experiment, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledegment(s), Nomenclature, and References. Throughout the manuscript, use Times New Roman font with single spacing between lines. The recommended font size is 14 pts for the paper title and 11 pts elsewhere. The main text should be justified on both sides. The use of footnotes is discouraged. The recommended length of the full manuscript is 4 to 6 pages. The layout and other specific guidelines for each section are given below.

Discuss relationships of the study to previously published work, but do not reiterate or attempt to provide a complete literature survey. The purpose or reason for the research being reported, and its significance, originality, or contribution to new knowledge in the field, should be clearly and concisely stated. 2. Theory (or Experimental) Sub-items are allowed for each session. In the text, refer to literature citations in the author-year format, e.g. [Author, 2006] or [Author1 and Author2, 2007] or [Author 1 et al., 2008]. The references should be placed at the end of the manuscript in the alphabetical order. The equations should be indented with the numbers displayed on the right side in parenthesis. -rA = k CA CB (1) The tables and figures should be numbered and captioned. The world importers and exporters of nickel ore in 2011 is sho wn in Table 2. Moreover, Figure 1 shows the schematic Japans nickel ore imports. Table 2. World importers and exporters of nickel ore in 2011

Figure 1. Japans nickel ore in 2011 Apparatus, reagents, and biological materials used in the study should be incorporated into a general section. List devices of a specialized nature or instruments that may vary in performance, such that the model used may affect the quality of the data obtained (e.g., spectroscopic resolution) List and describe preparation of special reagents only. Reagents normally found in the laboratory and preparations describes in standard handbooks or text should not be listed. Specify the source, vendor [city and state], and availability of special equipment, reagents, kits, etc. Do not include catalog number. Biological materials should be identified by scientific name (genus, species, authority, and family)and cultivar, if appropriate, together with the site from which the samples were obtained. Specimens obtained from a natural habitat should be preversed by deposit of samples in an herbarium for plants or in a culture collection for microorganisms, with a corresponding collection or strain number listed.

Manuscripts describing studies in which live animals or human subjects are used must include a statement that such experiments were performed in compliance with the appropriate laws and institutional guidelines, and also name the institutional committee that approved the experiments. Spesific experimental methods should be sufficiently detailed for others to repeat the experiments unequivocally. Omit details of procedures that are common knowledge to those in the field. Brief highlights of published procedures may be included, but details must be left to the Literature Cited. Describe pertinent and critical factors involved in reactions so the method can be reproduced, but avoid excessive description. For information on the reporting of certain types of data see Reporting Specific Data. 3. Results and Discussion Result and discussion may be presented in a single section, whichever format conveys the results in the most lucid fashion. Be complete but concise in discussing finding, comparing results with previous work and proposing explanations for the results observed. Avoid comparisons or contrasts that are not pertinent, and avoid speculation unsupported by the data obtained. 4. Conclusion As mentioned previously, the manuscripts will be collected in a compact disk that will be distributed to all registered participants. Please use this template when preparing your manuscript. This will ensure a uniform format in the publication. Please submit your final manuscript before February 7, 2013 through the conference website http://hisas10.ppi-hokkaido.org. The sentence punctuation follows the bracket [2]. Refer simply to the reference number, as in [3]do not use Ref. [3] or reference [3] except at the beginning of a sentence: Reference [3] was the first . . . Number footnotes separately in superscripts. Place the actual footnote at the bottom of the column in which it was cited. Do not put footnotes in the reference list. Use letters for table footnotes. Unless there are six authors or more give all authors' names; do not use et al.. Papers that have not been published, even if they have been submitted for publication, should be cited as unpublished [4]. Papers that have been accepted for publication should be cited as in press [5]. Capitalize only the first word in a paper title, except for proper nouns and element symbols.
