This is Montresors trap to Fortunato because he knew that Fortunato is an expert in wine. He told Fortunato that hes on his way to Luchesi and he doesnt want to bother Fortunato about the wine because hes busy. But Fortunato is quite persistent and he should judge the wine instead of going to Luchesi that knows nothing about the Amontillado wine.
