Pull out your calendars - it's time to Save Some Dates!

Spring is just around the corner! And in this spirit, it's an exciting time of year for our community. With the arrival of March, we have launched a number of programs entirely focused on the high-tech, high-growth company builders at the center of our community -- all of which will culminate at this year's

Capital Connection'13 on June 5-6th in D.C. First up - BUZZHub DC & Baltimore A cool drink at the British Embassy in DC & overlooking the Inner Harbor in B'more

Our first BUZZHub event will take place on March 19th, in partnership with MAVA Member UK Trade & Investment at the UK Embassy Bar. On April 16th we will host BUZZHub Baltimore at the Legg Mason Tower overlooking the Inner Harbor.

BUZZHub events are designed for CXOs of companies who may consider sharing their story at TechBUZZ or Capital Connection and provide a casual networking opportunity for entrepreneurs who are actively building innovative companies. The purpose of BUZZHub is to introduce our region's up and coming companies to MAVA's programs and to some of the top resources in the country: investors, including capital at every level; industry advisors; and perhaps most importantly, their peers. NEW this Year - Spring TechBUZZ Terrific, New hotspot in Bethesda - the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club

Our first in a series of TechBUZZ showcases to take place throughout the year, Spring TechBUZZ will be held on April 23rd at the hip, newly opened Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

TechBUZZ is MAVA's platform for showcasing the "best and brightest" of innovative Seed Stage companies in our market. Drawing from all the terrific community organizations that foster startups throughout the region, MAVA's TechBUZZ offers a public stage for companies to present their ideas to a powerful audience of investors at every stage and across industry sectors, advisors and fellow entrepreneurs who can help them build and refine their concept and take it to the next level of growth. SAVE THE DATE - Capital Connection'13 June 5th - 6th, 2013

As March arrives MAVA is gearing up for Capital Connection'13 to be held on June 5th & 6th in Washington, D.C. This year we will host our annual flagship industry conference at an exciting, new venue - the Mead Center for American Theater (Arena Stage). This year's conference will build upon the great energy of our 25th Anniversary year - focusing on companies across all stages of growth, including TechBUZZ, Main Stage, and a new group of celebrated Sterling Companies. We've made a number of strategic changes to the program for 2013 with a focus on bringing together as many growth companies as possible for a highly efficient 1.5 days of interaction among entrepreneurs, investors and the advisors that support these high-performing, growth companies across all stages and sectors. In 2013 we will combine TechBUZZ and Capital Connection into one conference to encourage all attendees to see our selected presenters at all stages. We have simplified our ticket pricing to reward the active MAVA members who support this organization throughout the year and to subsidize the costs for the CXOs for whom the program is designed. Beyond the series of programs that MAVA will host over the next few months, we are pleased to support the important programs and events hosted by our valued partners in the community. Important Messages for MAVA Members Thank you to all our renewed members for 2013! If your firm has not yet submit your membership renewal, please be in touch by Friday, March 8th as we will be updating our online directory to reflect current members on Monday, March 11th. All current MAVA members will be invited to join in our first meetings of the Programming, Outreach and Sponsorship Development Committees.
