Dear Parents:

It seems as if just months ago we were welcoming all our students to Middle School. Now, as we look at the
calendar, our grade 8 students will be registering for High School classes next week! Where does the time
go? With the onset of this event, the coming months are sure to speed by and pass in a whirlwind.

Please be informed that the parent meeting Transitioning to Middle School (February 27) and the Grade 5-6
Transition Parent Evening scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 have been cancelled. Due to the inclusion of
grade 5 in the Middle School next school year, we have decided to hold two separate meetings for incoming
grade 5 and grade 6 parents and students. Please note the changes and mark your calendars:

• Current Grade 5/Incoming Grade 6 students: Wednesday, March 11 from 7:30 A.M. – 8:30 A.M. in the
Little Theater
• Current Grade 4/Incoming Grade 5 students: Wednesday, March 11 from 8:30 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. in the
Little Theater

Parents and students should attend the meeting together to hear firsthand information about courses being
offered in grade 5 and grade 6. Course registration will begin the week of March 23 for all Middle School
students.

ISM Goodwill Gymnastics Meet 2009

Our varsity gymnastic team of 24
girls will be proudly representing
ISM this Saturday, February 28,
at the ISM Goodwill Gymnastics
Meet.
Meet starts at 8 A.M. and runs all
day. With over 200 gymnasts
competing in bars, beam, floor and vault you are sure
to see some great action. Please stop in and see the
MS gym transformed into a gymnastic facility with
gymnasts twisting/tumbling and paparazzi parents a
plenty.
This day is the biggest on the calendar for our gym-
nastics team and the gymnastics parent booster club
who assist greatly in the set-up and organization of
the meet.
Also on debut will be ISM’s new state of the art Olym-
pic gymnastics floor which was installed last weekend
in time for the meet.
Hope you can come on Saturday to cheer and support
our ISM gymnastics team.

smooth start to the season after tryouts

School-wide Let’s Go Green challenge!
Before the March break, we would like all students,
teachers and parents at ISM to complete the eco-
footprint online survey.

It will take roughly 10 minutes for you to complete the
survey.
If you would like to, you can then send your individual
plan to reduce your footprint to eco@ismanila.org.

AMIS HONOR BAND
On behalf of the ATAC, Fine Arts
and Music Department I would like
to send out a huge thank-you to all
the families that recently housed for
the AMIS Band Festival. Your will-
ingness to be involved in this pro-
gram was integral to its success and
assists enormously in making this
sort of festival come alive at our
school. We received fantastic reports from the student dele-
gates and the advisors from all schools as to how comfort-
able and welcoming ISM families made the visiting musi-
cians feel during their stay.
