CURRENT SKILLS ASSESSMENT
VISTA provides an experienced evaluator to assess your heavy equipment operators, which quickly identifies employee strengths and weaknesses and overall safety concerns. This information can then be used to provide operators with a more effective safety and training program.
PHASE ll
CLASSROOM TRAINING
An experienced instructor will lead your operators through a full day of classroom activities. Our instructor will also guide the class through a thorough pre-operational inspection on the machine (if it is available). Topics are delivered via high quality, proven presentations, videos and DVDs. Participants are provided with handouts. A proven process we have been perfecting since 1991.
PHASE lll
INDIVIDUAL HANDS-ON COACHING
During this phase, your employee works one-on-one or in groups of up to four with an experienced instructor. This individual attention allows the instructor to focus on each employee, identify weak areas, and coach the employee on how to operate safely and more productively.
PHASE lV
OPERATOR EVALUATION
A VISTA evaluator administers a written pre-operational inspection and hands-on evaluation. The written test covers general safety and operation topics. During the field evaluation, our instructor works with each person individually. Participants are assigned tasks and VISTA documents their ability to complete the tasks safely and effectively.
TRAIN-THE-TRAINER OPTION
We have found that many trainers have other responsibilities within their organization and are elected to train others despite having little or no training experience. This highly interactive and practical option can be added to any of our courses. This phase provides soon-to-be trainers with the knowledge, skill sets and most importantly, the practice they need to EFFECTIVELY convey the VISTA Training course material to others.
