Available data (by source) www.floodmaps.ie Stream flowing along road overflows after heavy rain. Properties are affected. Local Authority Suncroft has a history of flooding events. Overland runoff caused severe flooding to some properties in 2009. Springs may also be a problem. 6" OS maps Streams shown on 6" map, but no indication of susceptibility to flooding. Parts of Suncroft are low lying. Other Barrow Drainage (Sheet 28) - flood plain extends to south of Suncroft (Asgulusian Bridge). Settlement www.floodmaps.ie Water flowing off the land leads to annual flooding at a localised hollow on the road floods after heavy rain. Remedial works have been carried out by Local Authority, but no certainty that problem is solved.

Available data (by source) Local Authority Area Engineer's report to OPW of 18th May 2005. 6" OS maps Topography slopes in a southwesterly direction towards river located south of the settlement. Village centre is located in low-point. Stream flowing from east to west is interrupted by development. Concentration of watercourses and wetland to west and south-west of settlement suggests potential for flooding at these locations. No indication of lands liable to flooding. Pond shown immediately east of settlement. Absence of watercourses/drainage features, which is consistent with highly permeable soils in this area. No indication of lands liable to flooding. Topography is relatively flat. Relatively dense drainage network in vicinity of settlement. Barrow Drainage (Sheet 31) - Plan Area outside floodplain of Barrow (Railway separates it) Other
