Question 1

(a) Discuss on the necessity of feedback in engineering systems. Provide some concrete examples to justify your argument. (b) Your mother really loves to bake a cake, especially during important family occasions such as birthdays etc. One fine day, you wish to teach your mother the basic principle of operation of an electric oven that is in your home. Help your mother to understand the basic operational concept of the oven by sketching a block diagram showing important features such as the input, the output and the feedback. Provide also some notes (point form) to help your mother in understanding your diagram.
