The Artist
Matt Dalby is a multidisciplinary artist based in Manchester. Starting out as a poet, since the beginning of his Creative Writing MA in 2008 his practice has expanded to incorporate sound art, visual art and performance. Not only is he active as an artist, but also engages critically with the work of others through his blog santiagos dead wasp. In 2013 his abstract comic Shrewsbury will be published through zimZalla press. Some of his photographs and an essay will also appear in the forthcoming text-art anthology The Dark Would, edited by Philip Davenport, from Apple Pie Editions.
