Pet Parade Rules and Waiver

All animal owners must follow all posted pet parade rules. Please remember, dogs & cats must meet all guidelines and maintain current vaccinations (Rabies with Tag Number, DHLPP & Bordatella). Please sign and return Pet Rules:
1. All animal parade walkers must pre-register by mail or email. You will receive your entry number the morning of the parade, between 10:00am and 11:00am. A waiver must be signed by each animal entry & mailed with payment to Family Crisis Council of Rowan County c/o Janice Junda or Debi Lentz 130 West Council St. Salisbury, NC 28144 2. Children accompanying pets owners must be strictly supervised and at least 12 years of age to walk a pet in the parade. 3. All animals must have a recent shot record and up to date with all vaccinations within ONE YEAR PRIOR TO THE EVENT. 4. All pets must remain on a leash at all times and all owners must remain with their pet. 5. Aggressive dogs and female dogs in heat are not allowed. Owners must immediately leash and remove dogs from the event and the first sign of aggressive behavior. 6. Please be courteous to others and remove any sick pets from the pet event. 7. Owners must dispose of waste properly in the designated on-site containers 8. While small bite-sized training treats are permitted, food in bowls, long-lasting chews, or glass containers are not allowed 9. Pets must be licensed and vaccinated for Rabies, Bordatella and DHLPP. Current license and rabies tags must be worn on the pets collar at all times. 10. North Carolina State Law requires all dog bites to be reported to RCSO. In addition, owners are required to assist in the investigation of incidents of aggression or biting by providing appropriate identification and information to RCSO, AND to other dog owners who are involved with the incident under investigation. 11. Owners are liable for any injury or damage caused by their pet and are fully responsible for their pets actions. 12. We want this to be a fun event with many more to follow and we look forward to meeting your beloved pet. By signing this document, you have read and understand the rules of the pet parade/ event. You will not hold Family Crisis Council of Rowan County and/ or any volunteers responsible for the actions of your pets. You are liable for all damage and/or injury caused by your animal.
