Mr. Tri Ratna Manandhar, DG CAAN General Manager of TIA, CAAN Mr. Ratish Chandra Lal Suman welcomed the guests to the function and narrated the fast growth of domestic traffic at TIA, thus making the terminal facility renovated in 1995 insufficient. Domestic passenger movement has increased from 1 million in 2001 to 1.5 million in 2010 and is approaching 2 million by the year 2013. Similarly, domestic flight movement at TIA has increased from 63,159 in 2001 to 99,290 in 2010. Cargo handling is constrained by space in the present terminal, he said.
