A REPORT ON EXPLORING ALTERNATIVE CHANNELS OF MARKETING IN INDIAN MARKETS FOR JURAN INSTITUTE

ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT:


JURAN Institute is looking for channel partner who can market and promote their Six Sigma Certification Courses. The aim of this project is to analyse various companies and institutions belonging to different fields, which provide training programs such as Corporate training, Leadership training, Soft Skills training etc. and other courses to individuals and also those which act as consultancy firms offering consulting services to various organizations. The focus is basically on South India, so as to enable JURAN institute to expand their Certification course across various places in South India. This is a real time project where a company should be brought in as an actual partner to help JURAN in carrying out the Six Sigma certification course successfully.

PROJECT WORK DONE:


The project work was started by analysing various relevant companies and institutions. Databases of these companies were collected and further examined so as to ensure that these companies do not offer any competitive products. Once the database was finalised, each company mentioned in the database was approached. The details about the project were explained and what exactly is expected out of each company as a channel partner was clearly mentioned.

NOTH INDIA:

There are various training and educational institutions in and around North India. With a states like Himachal Pradesh & Delhi which has the highest literacy rate, finding various training and educational institutions was comparatively easy. Also other States like Delhi, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Utter Pradesh, Punjab, Uttaranchal have numerous institutes which offer certification courses like JAVA, ORACLE, SAP etc. thus aiming to mould individuals and students into better future leaders. Few recently established companies were also approached and being in the growth phase more interest was shown by such companies in taking up this project proposal.

CAN A CHANNEL PARTNER DECIDE THE COURSE FEE?


Channel partners are free to decide the final course fee by increasing or reducing their share of the course fee, Juran Academys share will remain constant. E.g. in a metro Juran Academys share for a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is INR 8000, A Channel partner may charge only INR 10,000 to participants and make a their share INR 2000 or they can increase the course fee to INR 20,000 and make INR 12,000 per participant.

SHOULD CHANNEL PARTNERS INVEST?


No channel partners dont have to invest.

CONCLUSION:
Some more companies are yet to be approached and the aim is to obtain as many channel partners as possible with maximum efforts within the specified time period. More response is expected from companies which might be interested in this proposal. The project is still taking its shape and is aimed to obtain effective channel partners for JURAN institute.
