For over 55 years Rev. Robert H. Schullers ministry has been a beacon for Christian faith operating from this very campus, with the extraordinary Crystal Cathedral erected in 1980. Today we, as Catholics, have been given an opportunity to become part of its transformation to serve all Catholics in the Diocese of Orange and around the world. We are blessed to call this impressive campus our spiritual home. Join your fellow parishioners for an escorted tour of the beautiful 35-acre property. Hear an insiders perspective of how the newly named Christ Cathedral will become our new Catholic home and learn how our parish will be part of its transformation. For a limited time St. Edward is offering exclusive tours of the campus for our parishioners at no cost.

Traces of Grace
Dear Fellow Parishioners; The same day Benedict XVI stepped down as Pope, a busload of our parishioners stepped down onto the parking lot at the future Christ Cathedral. Standing there ready to engage them was a reporter from Channel 7 news asking folks about their thoughts on what was going on in Rome. While we were preparing for the tour, several parishioners were interviewed doing a great job in response to the reporter's questions. (I managed to stay off camera because I needed a haircut!). While the Cathedral Campus tour does not go into every detail of the facility, just walking around with the docent explaining the history and the possibilities of what will be happening at our new Cathedral sight is really pretty incredible. Folks were full of questions and curiosity. For myself, every time I go there, I see something I had not noticed before. As our Capital Campaign moves forward, I encourage you to join one of our upcoming tours to the Cathedral site. I believe you will find it a most powerful experience. Please check the bulletin or our website for tour dates. Call (949) 481-4000 or email 4christ4ever@stedward.com to book a tour. All of our registered parishioners will be receiving an invitation to attend a parish reception to receive information about the Campaign as well as have the opportunity to ask questions. We have a great group of volunteers who are working hard to put it all together for a pleasant and informational meeting. (We had a great response for volunteers over the past several weeks. Over 300 parishioners have volunteered to assist with the receptions, make phone calls, as well as help with our mailings!) May we continue to pray for our families, our local and diocesan church as well as the promptings of the Spirit for the choosing of a new Pope. Together in Christ;

Rasgos de Gracia
Queridos feligreses; El mismo da que Benedicto XVI bajo de su cargo como Papa, un autobs lleno de feligreses se bajaron en el estacionamiento de la Catedral de Cristal. Ah ya se encontraba un reportero del canal 7 listo para preguntarnos acerca de lo que estaba pasando en Roma actualmente. Mientras que nos preparbamos para el tour varios de nuestros feligreses fueron entrevistados por el reportero, nuestros feligreses respondieron a sus preguntas de una manera excelente. Yo pude mantenerme fuera de las cmaras pues necesitaba un corte de pelo Si bien el tour de la Catedral no entra en todos los detalles de sus instalaciones, pero con el solo hecho de caminar alrededor escuchando la explicacin del gua; su historia y el gran potencial que hay en nuestra nueva Catedral es realmente increble. La gente estaba llena de preguntas y mucha curiosidad. En lo personal, cada vez que voy all, veo algo que no haba notado anteriormente. En el proceso en el cual nuestra campaa avanza, yo les nimo para que se unan a uno de nuestros prximos viajes a la Catedral. Les aseguro que no se arrepentirn. Consulte su boletn o nuestro sitio web para las fechas del tour. Oh llame al (949) 481-4000 o correo electrnico 4CHRIST4EVER@STEDWARD.COM a reservar un tour. Todos nuestros feligreses que estn registrados recibirn una invitacin para asistir a una recepcin donde podr recibir ms informacin sobre la campaa, as como tambin tendr la oportunidad de hacer preguntas. Tenemos un grupo de voluntarios que estn trabajando duro para que sea una noche agradable e informativa. Hemos tenido una gran respuesta de voluntarios en las ltimas semanas. Ms de 300 feligreses han ofrecido a ayudar con las recepciones, realizar llamadas por telfono, as como ayudar con las cartas enviadas por correo Sigamos orando por nuestras familias, por nuestra iglesia e iglesias en la dicesis, as como tambin para que el Espritu nos guie para la eleccin de un nuevo Papa. Juntos en Cristo;

LAMENTATIONS
A REFLECTIVE PRAYER SERVICE
GOOD FRIDAY March 29th
at 7:00 pm in the Church
What is lamentation? It is a human response to pain, a crying out to God in faith until help arrives. Lamentation is found throughout Scripture and is focused on human suffering and injustice as a continuation of Christs suffering. We come together to lament with anyone who is suffering from pain or loss, anyone who stands with others who are suffering, anyone who feels the pain and suffering of the world. Our purest response is hope, love and compassion which in turn empower us to be agents of change for Christ in the transformation of the world. This will be a truly memorable evening, full of music, readings, images and places to weep over the injustices and absurdities of life. Please join us.
