(St.

Augustine Church, Barberton, OH) (March 10, 2013)

Fourth Sunday of Lent

Living Faith in March: Luke 15:1-3, 11-32 Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your faces may not blush with shame. (Ps 34:6) There are three characters in todays parable, the younger son, the older son, and the father. Who do you most closely relate to? Have you always been forgiving to those who have hurt you? When you do forgive, are you able to reconcile and join in feasting with the one who hurt you or do you hold a grudge?

318 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. A very special thank you goes out to everyone who donated their time and talents to help make the mission a great success! Please take a look at the desk for hours that are in urgent need, contact Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926 if you are able to assist. (Insert Graphic 2404-0062.tif) The next Coffee and Donuts will be served Sunday, March 17 following the 8:00 and 10:30 Masses. Hosts will be Wane & Mary Jo Goss and Larry & Charlotte Smart. Sincere thanks to Judy Soltis and the women from the Holy Hour Program who made and served the light suppers before the Mission and the reception on Tuesday evening. Everything was delicious and joyfully served. EUCHARIST: OUR GREATEST TREASURE: Our Lenten Mission was a powerful opportunity to grow in knowledge of our Lord and to deepen ones personal relationship with Him, the One who loves us each so much. Many thanks to Fr. Michael Woost for so excellently leading us in this prayerful time of reflection on THE WHOLE OF HIM IN THE WHOLE OF US: EUCHARIST, THE HOLY COMMUNION. The Mission was an excellent way to celebrate St. Augustines Fifty Years of Perpetual Adoration. Thank you also to all who helped make this possible: Donna Kandes, Joel Martin, the Choir, Ushers, Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and all who helped during the services. OUR LENTEN COMMUNAL RECONCILIATION SERVICE will be held Monday, March 11, 7:00 pm in the Church. Priests from other parishes will be joining Fr. David to hear individual confessions. If youve never come to a reconciliation service, now is a great time to do so!
