SET INDUCTION
Teacher gives students a scenario: Digicel called teacher to help them fill
in the missing numbers in their list of telephone numbers. Teacher then show the list of numbers to the students. Teacher asks students to assist her in filling in the missing numbers on the list.
SECTION 1 CONTENT Teaching points: 1. Finding the number patterns Identify a pattern.
METHOD TEACHER STRATEGY 1. Teacher asks students to fold a sheet of A4 paper in half. 2. Teacher asks students to open the sheet and count the number of rectangles formed. 3. Teacher asks students to repeat step 1 and fold the folded sheet in half. 4. Teacher asks students to repeat step 2. 5. Teacher then asks students to repeat the process for 3 and 4 folds where they will count the number of rectangles after each fold. STUDENT ACTIVITY Students follow instructions.
