Dear friends,

Youth Cultural Center - Bitola (YCC- Bitola) and partner organizations (SEEYN, Beyond Barriers - Albania and CVS Bulgaria) take this opportunity to invite you to take part in Training course for youth workers Do it! Virtual! taking place from 07 - 14th of April 2013 in Bitola, Macedonia. This training will be delivered by experienced trainers from SEEYN training centre and partner organizations. Civil society organizations from the following countries are eligible to apply: Sweden (1 participant), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Italy and Romania (1 participant). Candidates will have to be youth leaders, coordinators and volunteer managers involved in various forms of youth work in the local community development with certain knowledge, experience or interest in the topic of the training course. Participants have to be 18 30 years old. Total of 25 participants will attend the training (2 participants per country). We will cover 70% of the travel costs for participants (using cheapest way of transport bus, train, low cost airfare/ economy class). Food, accommodation and working materials will be provided. There is no participation fee! PROJECT SUMMARY The aim of the training course is to improve the work of volunteer centers by introducing virtual volunteering as a new method for involving young people with fewer opportunities in volunteering activities. Training will focus on advancing young leaders volunteer management skills by using new media tools as a contemporary device for communication that will enable them to involve a new number of young people from geographically inaccessible regions in the local volunteer service programs. The young leaders will learn how to make local volunteer service program accessible to young people with fewer opportunities (geographical, social, economic, cultural obstacles) to be actively involved in realization of virtual volunteer activities in their organizations. PROJECT OBJECTIVES To promote e volunteering among participants as a new tool for social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in volunteer activities. To acquire practical knowledge for proper use of social media as a great tool for NGOs to develop volunteer programs To motivate participants and their organizations to implement innovative methods in order to extend the work of their volunteer centers. To empower participants to multiply effects of this training course in their organizations and raise their competences to implement virtual volunteering activities. To encourage future cooperation between participants and their organizations.
