Next Sunday, March 17, after our worship service, we will gather in the fellowship room for an official (but according to their wishesinformal!) thank you to Judy Krueger, Lorraine Borchardt and Barb Scherer for their many years of exceptional service to Mt. Olive as office secretary and bookkeepers. There will be cake, coffee and juice for all. If you would like to bring a card or gift to express your thanks that would certainly be appropriate! *Note: This will be during Family Bible Hour, Childrens Sunday School will be held as normal. CARE PACKAGES FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS AND MILITARY Every year at this time the Womens Club of Mt. Olive organizes gift bags for our college students. This year there are 18 such young people from Mt. Olive. Bring your gifts for them (in units of 18 if possible) to the church kitchen by this Tuesday, March 12. Use your imagination! Most folks bring edible items, but you dont need to be limited by that. This year we will also be sending care packages to those serving in the military from our congregation. There are five from Mt. Olive who are currently in service. In last months Olive Branch Newsletter you will find suggestions for items for those in the military. A FUN EVENT FOR ALL Last Sunday you received information about an event sponsored by the Mens Fellowship Club at Mt. Olive. The event will take place on March 16 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska and includes a fellowship potluck, information on maple syrup making, bird identification, etc. Space is limited to 50 participants, so sign up today. Once you sign up, youll receive information about what to bring for the potluck. BOOSTERS & BENEFACTORS NIGHT West Lutheran High School will be hosting a "Booster and Benefactors Appreciation Night" on Saturday, March 16, beginning at 6:30pm. Appetizers, wine and other refreshments will be served. All that are associated with the West ministry are invited to attend. The agenda is simple: Hearty appetizers, wine, other refreshments, visiting with friends, light musical entertainment, an update from the principal, special guest speaker(s), and special recognitions including recognizing Steve Jensen for 25 years in the teaching ministry. EASTER FLOWERS An order form was placed in your mailboxes that you can use to order flowers to beautify our sanctuary for Easter Sunday. Complete the form and return it to the church office or place it in the collection plate, with your payment, by March 17. Thank you! WEVE GOT A GREAT PRODUCT AT MT. OLIVE That product, of course, is the gospel. But like any great product, it needs to be advertised. You can help do that by signing up to take a 1-hour shift at the Mt. Olive booth at the Delano Business Expo on Saturday, April 6 held at the Delano High School. The expo runs from 9:00 am till about 12:30 pm. For more info, speak to Troy Kriesch.

MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICES The theme for our Midweek Lenten services this year is: Names of Wondrous Love. The name for our contemplation this Wednesday is The Way. Before the service the Mt. Olive Womens Club will be providing a spaghetti supper in the school gym. That supper will begin at 5:30 pm and end at 6:45 pm. All are invited! Please note that during the Lenten season we will not be having our Monday evening worship services. Monday services will resume on Monday, April 15. OUR CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL WISHES Yesterday afternoon Mike Beck and Heidi Elkin were united in marriage. We wish them Gods richest blessings in their married life together!
