GULGBT Committee Meeting Agenda 10th December 6pm Committee Room 3 Apologies: Livvi, Hannah Committee Business:

Pre-meeting, application for funding to LGBT Youth Scotland discussed and approved by committee.

1. Ceilidh Feedback Ceilidh went well, went very well. Ticket stubs are lost, but at least 174 tickets sold by the time doors were closed. Funds raised for charity up on last year with 462.50! All costs met even with this sum donated to charity. Still awaiting reply from Albert Kennedy Trust, decision made to await reply before sending the cheque. All in all, a very successful event, with no complaints. 2. 12 Hour Cheesy Pop Lauren, Chris, David, Tabitha, Erin all in attendence. Decided to meet at Hillhead at 19:00, decide on the fly where to eat before proceeding to QM for 22:00. 3. QueerFest a. Queer 101 - 20th February Vicki Gunn & Amy Rose confirmed, Livvi and Amy put aside to work for Q101. Police, Religion and History represented in the first two guests. Health is a must GMH or Sandyford? Trans* issues also to be covered, as well as those represented by the Q banner. Scott TurnerSchofield to be contacted to cover trans* issues, possibly also to do a workshop on the Saturday Transgender 101? b. Reading Party - 27th February c. Sub-team? Let's be happy about being queer, let's rub our groins together! to be slogan. Drag workshops also a definite go. Cinema to be an option (in the reading room?) for those not up for the workshops. Comedy workshop also on the table Chris to contact burlesque performers and find out prices. Comedians to be contacted to see if they would come Simon Amstell, Susan Calman, Stephen Fry. GLASS should also be contacted to see if they want to participate. Possibility of working with Lock Up Your Daughters for a further workshop, as well as the Cecilians. 4. Semester 2 Events:
a. 1st Event

Welcome back type thing! 9th January Club Crawl? Good plan! b. Cocktail Class(?) David's province. Liaising with the Riding Room price 10 a person set aside already. 30th February. c. Debate(?) 13th February organised by Lauren. Debate motion is undecided. Michael Gray from Dialectic still hasn't replied, possibility of carrying on but with GU Debates and QMU debates. The importance of innovation in events was discussed, due to concerns raised within an in-committee email, but

this was thought to be largely irrelevant given the popularity and innovation already ongoing in our events. d. Wicked Wenches(?) 6th March. Must be this night, we'll be there. Easily organised, wham, bam, easily done. Steen's duty. e. Dinner GUU free for our event. Awaiting reply from Hospitality, but will only wait until Monday before booking due to swift filling up of dates for the GUU. f. Other Wednesday events 20th - 27th Queerfest (20th Queer 101 and 27th Reading Party) 6th February Murder Mystery Chris to head sub-team dedicated to this, to send email begging for volunteers soon. Possibly a movie night? Sports day possible, but not until Spring. GAY MOVIES favoured Priscilla Queen of the Desert? - 16th January. g. M/W/T*/P-M Events Officers told to think up events for next semester. One each in January and one each in February. To let exec know if funding required. h. Asexual and Bi* Events? Asexual event shouldn't be an issue. Bi* event possible, but controversy from last year must avoid controversy, definitely a possibility, but the committee leans more towards a welfare rather than a social Bi* event. 5. Minutes Backlog will be dealt with over Christmas. In future, minutes will be put up online asap, with no backlog, by the end of the week. 6. Next Meeting Despus de navidad, en el nuevo semestro.
