Self-Assembly
-Donors
Conductive Nanostructures
Self-assembly of tetrathiafulvalenes, their conjugated oligomers, and giant macrocyclic oligothiophenes in solution leads to important solvatochromic, thermochromic, electrochromic, and switching properties. Furthermore, based on the self-assembly in solution, various nanostructures can be constructed in the solid state to produce nanowires, nanoparticles, nanotubes, tapes, ribbons, and microcrystals. This article highlights the self-aggregation of organic -donors in solution and the formation of nanostructures from these -donors in the solid state.

A new route to the optically active allyl alcohols by microbial oxidation is disclosed. Yamadazyma farinosa IFO 10896, a yeast, efficiently catalyzes the enantioselective oxidation of allyl alcohols to afford the corresponding optically active alcohols as the remaining substrates. This reaction is applicable to both cyclic and acyclic compounds.

Preparation of Fluorinated Aluminophosphate Molecular Sieve with Hexagonal Nanoake Morphology by Ionothermal Method
A novel hexagonal nano-flake of fluorinated aluminum phosphate molecular sieve was successfully synthesized using [Emim]Br ionic liquid as both the solvent and the template. The thickness of the hexagonal flake is about 170 nm. The effect of different molar ratio of HF on the framework and morphology of the products was also discussed.
