2012 Ranking: 195th Largest Export Market for U.S. Goods (2011: 207th)
In 2012, U.S. exports to Somalia continued a rapid growth trend that started in 2011, increasing by 156.7 percent to $15.4 million. U.S. imports from Somalia, however, fell 11.73 percent to $975,600. Somalias top three export sectors included Miscellaneous Manufactured Commodities (at $673,100), Forestry Products (at $143,400), and Used or Secondhand Merchandise (at $55,100).
