SUBMERSIBLE MOTOR

MECTRON ENGINEERING PTE LTD

Engineered Systems & Solutions for Marine & Offshore

The temperature limit and switches are Bimetal-Types (Klixon) and they can be connected directly into the motor control circuit and operate at 220V/240V with a maximum of 2.5 amps. An alternative to the temperature switch is the employment of thermistor temperature sensors. If the motor is equipped with thermistor, a special label is added to the cable. Where winding temperature indication is needed, temperature sensors of PTC, typical PT100 can be ordered. Float Switch for mechanical seal failure In order to protect bearings and winding against liquid, a float switch has been fitted which will indicate if the seal leakage has reached the first bearing. The float switch is a closed contact switch during normal operation and should be connected to give an indication only when liquid is in the chamber. The mechanical seal should then be replaced as soon as possible

Bearing Temperature Sensors (optional) A temperature measuring device PTC PT100 is installed underneath in the bearing housing. This is an independent circuit, normally closed and will open when the temperature exceeds the limit temperature which can be wired to give an alarm or to shut down the motor. SUBMERSIBLE CABLE The motor is fitted with submersible cable for tough duty and of the highest standards for marine/offshore application of the following specifications:Rubber hose cable NSSHu for Ex-proof (Protomont) Permitted operating temperature at conductor: +90C / -25C Recommended operating temperature : 80C Insulation: EPR Ethylene-propylene rubber Sheath : CR Chloroprene rubber 40C ambient temperature This cable has been reviewed and approved by Marine classification DNV. Cable can be ordered to the required length.

CHARACTERISTICS OF HIDROSTAL SUBMERSIBLE ELECTRICAL MOTOR

The cable inlet allows no moisture to penetrate into the interior of the motor. The cable is sealed with epoxy resin, the wires are fed into separate guides, which also form the connection to the motor, and, in this way, even the interior space between the cable sheathing and the wires is completely sealed off. Separate cable covers permit the simple insertion of a new cable. Temperature sensor built into the winding. High-efficiency motor with dry stator winding, insulated to Class F. Cooling jacket with forced circulation from external circuit. Temperature sensor in the lower bearing. Float switch for warning of leakage from the mechanical seals.
