Name: Shanon Gmez Fonseca ORGANS AND TISSUE DONATION The donation of biological tissue or organ from a human

body in living or dead condition to another one, its made through a transplantation, which has a surgeon, patient, organ donor, recipients, brokers and intermediaries for making the longevity of life of the person longer, everybody should have the conscience about the necessity of the organs for leaving a good mark in the society. Firstly we have to see the health conditions that is necessary because every voluntary cant be a good candidate, the conditions are: when the person dies or is declared brain dead, external trauma or head injury. If the person had a serious illness such as cancer he/she is not a good candidate. The donation of organs and tissue are similar but we dont have to confuse that, t he organs that can be harvested are: heart, lungs, kidneys, intestines, pancreas and liver; in the tissue donation can be taken: bones and bones marrow, corneas, veins, skin, heart valves and tendons. Some countries are using it, this surgical procedure such as: USA, Europe and India have a legal process and treatments with rules, the goal of promoting the anatomical gift act with an organization of a national database. In the USA some states have sought to encourage the donations to be made by allowing the consent to be noted on the driver's license. Donor registries allow for a central information center for an individual's wish to be a donor. The issue of consent is pressing, as the number of patients on the waiting list in the country has increased from approximately 20,000 in 1990 to over 100,000 in 2010. Alongside absolute organ donation increases from the late 1980s up until the mid-2000s, in Europe is a voluntary action is some countries the organ were donated from 34 American military service members who died at LRMC (roughly half of the total number who died there) donated a total of 142 organs between 2005 and 2010. In 2010 alone, 10 of the 12 American service members who died at LRMC were donors, donating a total of 45 organs. Of the 205 hospitals in the DSOs central region, in japan the donation is

allowed until the brain dead end in the india organ selling is legally banned.

Percentage of Heart Transplantation by IPS, Colombia 2007

Percentage of actual donors by regional, first half 2007 - 2008 Answering to this necessity is difficult because all the people are not aware of the health issue, the y only think in themselves. As long as the necessity makes that the people take bad decision about the way of getting the organ without any conscience of the effects of doing this process in a wrong way. For instance in countries like: China, South America and India has become in a business where the human organ is the product to gain money through different ways as: body stealing, child kidnapping and body mutilation in the most of the cases the kidneys are purchased for commercialization.

The people should be promoting through different advertising for fear or just because if we dont satisfy this necessity the people are going to commit crime for getting what the y want, without taking account the risk of doing the traffic of organs without any permission from the victim, however it could leave health effect by the conditions of the surgical process helping with technology and capital. They are playing with the human life because the abuse of the body in ethical, social and medical effects and it is affecting the human right . The benefits of the donations are depending on our believes, it could be outweigh the cons. However there are the benefits:

Helps grieving families: When a loved one dies, most families will want to do everything they can to help the grieving process. Knowing that the corneas or heart of the person who just died will help another see or even live can be very comforting. They receive some peace knowing that something positive has come out of the death.

New lease on life: For those receiving the organs, these transplants can mean a second chance at life. For some, it means being able to see, while for others, it can mean actually being able to live. Better quality of life: Individuals who are dependent on kidney dialysis and receive a kidney transplant can return to living a regular lifestyle without machines.

Cost effective: Some organ transplants can be less expensive in the long run than continuing medical care, specifically in the case of kidney transplants. Social responsibility: Many individuals feel it is their social responsibility to help others survive or live normal lives.

To sum up we have to aware about the importance of the donation of organs in our society and start to stop thinking in ourselves like we were the only that wants to life in a healthy condition. Promoting a social conscience of this social problem must be started in our minds to change it and realize about the benefits that brings.
